5. you must be pretty serious about this paintballing to be buying your own weapon... selling your amp, does that mean you're giving up the bass?

11. this whole thread's a load of Kock if you ask me well what did you expect?
12.
I dont think it would be against forum policy to post pics of how its going (if it is let me know and ill remove them) but yes, otherwise here goes
Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't that the whole point of this section - we all like to see these builds progress and without the pictures there wouldn't be much to look at Seriously it's looking cool - seems to be coming together pretty quick, how long has it been in production? Bet you can't wait for her to be finished EDIT - Just read the guidelines and the way I undersatnd it, the rules are there to stop 'manufacturers' posting about every build they undertake, as a BC member who is having a bass built my guess is you're more than welcome to post the progress of your particular build so I think you'll be fine
13. thanks jon - any chance you could be a bit more specific with the description lol PM'd
14. Hi - how heavy is it, what do you think the postage would be and how much are you wanting for it? Cheers John
15. Nice one mate - looks great, I don't think I've got the skills to contemplate building something like that... respect
16. Lovely, not sure about the carpet though
17. Playing with a bigband where the whole band is reading means we all use music stands - they're actually part of our set up, with logo on etc so they cool and are obviously functional... There are a few charts they we play qite regularly that I don't really read anymore, but we have over 250 charts in the pad, that's alot of tunes to learn When the music is in front of you there's no real need to memorise it anyway - but if the gig your doing requires a no dot approach then you should learn the tunes, I always find that the best way to do that is never to have the dots in the first place, that way you have to learn it without the aid of a safety net
18. I must admit the relicing thing doesn't really do it for me either - I understand and appreciate the appeal of a genuine used instrument, complete with history and all, and why such things cost so much... I own a Overwater Fretless 5 - does that make me a coffee tabler? It's been my main bass for the past 4 years and whilst I want it too look good it is definitely for the playing, this is no piece of furniture... I've noticed a distinct change in my basses colouring over the past few months, the maple in the neck and the ash top have started to take on a much warmer hue... Basses are for playing and sounding great, but there's no reason they shouldn't look good too
