1. If all else fails you could dispense with the multiway plug and solder the wires directly to the board.
2. Mine was the lefthanded 12/4. I wonder who owns it now? The last I heard it was strung right handed and played upside down.
3. Sat 17th March 1973. Saw Wishbone Ash. They were recording a live album and the sound was rubbish. I played the Marquee in 79/80. Brilliant night but is was so hot on stage.
4. Genz Benz Streamliner 900 into a Barefaced 69er. Always the sound although being light is an added bonus.
5. I will bravely poke my head over the parapet and say that I would suspect that it's the sound of the P pickup itself. With Barefaced being such superb cabs, you hear things differently. I find that the P pickup on my bass doesn't sound very nice at all on it's own but blended with the Jazz it sounds lovely.
6. My 69er doesn't vibrate. Feel free to interpret that anyway that you will.
7. Try www.easily.co.uk. I find them excellent.
8. The best promoter and cheapest, will be yourselves. An agent, if you can find one or a manager will cost you up to 25%. Just phone round or visit the venues.
9. Definitely digital for me.
10. Didn't I see something about that on TV a while ago?
11. I hope that this isn't too posy, but here's what I get up to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-hcSG5GUJc I'm the one on the left.
12. 1,2,3,4, is no good with our drummer, it's more like 1, 2, 3, 3 3/4.
13. The heaviest bass I ever owned was a Shergold 4 / 12 twin neck. I never weighed it but a hour of it over my shoulder and it got painful. It is basically 2 guitars. The lightest is my Danelectro long horn at virtually nothing.
14. On the rare occasions that we practice, it's in the studio, shed?, that I built in my, admittedly large, back garden. Home made electronic drums into an Alesis DM5, guitar, bass and vocal mics straight into an old peavey mixer. Guitarist uses effects if he feels the need but generally doesn't. No DI, just straight in to the line inputs. Aux 1 out goes to an old stereo amp for the drummer. Aux2 again to another stereo amp for the guitarist and because it's all mine, I get the main outs for my stereo amp. We all done headphones and play away. The sound is great and brilliant quality and the only thing that might be heard is just a few voices and laughter over mistakes. It's all set up and ready to go and free.
15. Would love to do IEMs as well, but our drummer can't / won't put things in his ears and Keith Moon couldn't keep headphones on so neither will I. Oh well, never mind.
16. Yes, The Fabulous 6Ts will be [s]suffering[/s] appearing at Ramsgate Working Mens Club, Chatham Place, tonight from 8.00 pm. Not stop 60s all night. Come along and join in the fun.
17. Had one once in the 80s and with the Fender 2 x 15, the sound was glorious.
18. Jedson, Zenta, Kay? Same bass different name. Generally considered crap. Sold in Woolworths for not a lot.
19. These are surprisingly good, http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_xm1800s_set.htm, used them myself and they work a treat. Worth a look.
20. Excellent service. Order with confidence.
21. This is interesting, http://basschat.co.uk/topic/10362-wireless-system-licensing-guide/ and it's at the top of the page with this thread on it.
22. Why not put a jazz neck on it.
23. Use them both. If one plays up, use the other.
