1. Hi folks I've recently put out a second EP from my electronic project under the name Monochrome Echo. It's on Spotify, iTunes etc but here's the link to my Bandcamp page so you can check it out at the best quality (and the best price!) https://monochromeecho.bandcamp.com Really hope you like this new direction. I'm working on new music all the time so there'll be plenty more releases soon. I'm also on Twitter as @monochromeecho and there's a Facebook page too. Thanks for listening 🙏
2. Not sure why half the photos came out sideways and all over the shop. Sorry gang!
3. *Price Drop* Now £1000.00!! Beautiful German-built Warwick Streamer Stage 1 from 2006. Great condition for its age. A few little marks and dings but nothing to write home about. Lovely action and feel to the neck; plays like butter. Brand new Schaller strap locks. Recently set up by the awesome Martin Peterson at The Gallery, who also replaced the nut with a solid hand-made one. Way more stable than the flakey plastic just-a-nuts and adds to the sustain. I'll include some finishing wax and adjustment tools, plus a generic Fender gigbag, none of which came with it when I bought it last year. I'll chuck in some new Elites too. No trades please; only selling as I have too many basses and need the space. Collection from Peckham SE London only, but could possibly meet up or deliver within sensible distances. Final price drop now £1000. Any questions send me a DM. Cheers!
4. I spent a long time looking for exactly that last year and git a Way Huge Pork Loin. Does exactly what you're after and does subtle very well. Definitely worth you checking that one out...
5. Both now SOLD!
6. OC2 Sold pending the usual...
7. Line 6 M9 Stompbox Modeler with PSU and instructions (no box). Great little unit with built-in looper. Excellent condition. Slight fraying on PSU (see pic) but does not affect usage. Prefer collection from SE15 or meetup but I can look into postage if you're desperate £200 Boss OC2 vintage octaver. Velcro on bottom. Think it's the Taiwanese version. It has no label. Works great; classic bit of kit. Prefer local pickup etc but can post for a fiver £90
8.
How did you know which was which? :-) I'm sure some less scrupulous retailers would have tried to sell it as new!
The used one did look exactly the same as the brand new one! Although it played a lot better due to the lovely setup. Apparently Flea himself had been in and played the new one...
9. I just picked up a beautiful second hand one from Wunjo's on Denmark Street. Absolutely beautiful instrument. They had a new one too but this one just felt right straight away; guess whoever bought it previously had it set up really well. Plays like butter...
10. It also massively depends on the pickup. The way the string vibrates under the bow is very different to when it is plucked. Most EUB pickups have pizz in mind and don't respond well with second playing. So far only the SLB200 responds as I'd like it to...
11. Definitely +1 for bowing on the Yamaha Silent bass. Sounds great and very smooth. Want one... I've had two electric uprights. My current Warwick Triumph doesn't like it and my old Van Zalinge wasn't great either. Also you have to consider the curvature of the bridge. A lot of EUBs have pretty flat bridges like an electric so you'd never be able to bow them. Always worth trying out in the shop with a bow to hand...
12. Post Xmas bump folks... 🎄

15.
Really enjoyed this on Later Live this week. It passed the litmus test to bother with recording the Friday show as well. Kala U-Bass, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QDx0G1A9Z8
Yup. Kala U-Bass 👌
