To be honest, I've never really used them in anger. Occasionally wind the whammy bar on just f**k with guitarists ego at rehearsals. Worth it for that alone 😂 -

That was my black p bass with status neck. Think that was at the bass show 3 years ago (barefaced/cog stand). It has a chrome Kahler. My original blue bass has a gold Kahler on it -
Lol. I like to have some type of forced discipline otherwise I'd end up like our guitarist who has a pedal board the size of a large suitcase. Each pedal is worth over £300. Buggered if I can tell the difference with his ones though. As far as I'm concerned, in a band situation, it's either crunchy or wet. 😀

What's that thing on top of Paul Turner's amp?
pbasspecial replied to Undertone's topic in Amps and Cabs
I once spent a week at Ridge Farm recording 2 singles with Dave Allen (Cure producer) back in 1999. Great studio. Craig Blundell (Steve Wilson) was the drummer. Think he did his parts on the first morning and I knocked the bass tracks out after lunch in about an hour or so. Spent the rest of the time alternating between sitting in the control booth and when we got bored we would play tennis and hit golf balls over the trees. We got the singer drunk and bet him a fiver to eat some dog food. £5 well spent. One of my favourite weeks. -
I've had a few BF cabs. I spoke with Alex at the last bass/guitar show in London. He recommended I get an ABM500 to go with my Super Twin. So that's what I did. 😀
