  1. For sale or trade are my Electrovoice SX300 PA Speakers. They're great speakers and have been the staple of bands for decades. Light and loud ๐Ÿ™‚ These have speakon connections (older versions are xlr) and have not been driven hard. They have some slight marks on them from handling but are in excellent working order and come with a pair of custom made Falcon padded covers. I used to use a pair of SX300's for tops and another for monitors using the F200 monitor feet (Monitor feet) I've attached both the datasheet and full manual which contain all the specs. My feedback link contains many comments on how well I take care of my gear and this is no exception. Price is plus shipping in the original boxes. Any questions, just ask ๐Ÿ™‚ SX300 Data.pdf EV SX300 Manual.pdf
  2. Yes. I've had some very interested parties but not finalised anything just yet. ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. For sale is my Powersoft LQ2804, 4 Channel Digital Power Amp which at different times I've used as part of my bass, PA and monitor systems. I have 2 Powersoft amps for sale, this one and a LD2004 (2 channel) in another advert. With these amps you can run a single channel on its own or all together. I've attached both the datasheet and full manual which contain all the specs. Powersoft LQ2804 Data Sheet.pdf Digam L Series (LD & LQ).pdf These amps are high quality, professional, versatile, solidly built and have been totally reliable. Many big venues and touring acts use Powersoft kit so it's highly likely you will have heard this type of amp in action even if you don't realise it. As for the oft used statement "digital amps dont have heft", these blow that argument right out of the water with headroom to spare! At 16.1lbs weight they are easy to move and handle. Most recently I've had them racked together in an EMS modular rack system for easy movement and protection (not included in this sale). The amp is fully functioning, well cared for and as you can see from the photos very clean both inside and out. 5. That mail was from 2018......Fodera may now see a gap in the market and have OK'd new production? Best drop them a line to check. As others have said they are pretty good at responding.
  6. They MAY be legit. Fodera themselves responded to a TalkBass thread in 2018 (post #11) - Talkbass - Fodera?
  7. Ah Powersoft! Absolutley solid peices of kit. I have a couple which will be finding their way to the for sale section as soon as I get my act together (and at a fraction of that new price ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™‚ )
  8. Had several flavours of racked gear over the years (currently using racked amps with built in eq so they don't count ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Here's some of the earlier versions where I've used a seperate pre into other power amp stages.
  9. Not at the moment but I will try and get something for you in the next few days ๐Ÿ‘
  10. Betty Davis, Trailblazing Queen of Funk, Dead at 77
  11. You sold this? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ .......and NOT to me! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฃ...why oh why?...lol
  12. Just checked on the Nightingale logo and you are right. Bernie was invloved with them so that's why there's design similarities. ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Nice bass ๐Ÿ‘ Looks to me like a GB (Bernie Goodfellow) Rumour by the general shape / controls layout / headstock. The headstock logo is dfferent and might have been a special request(?).
  14. Both! ๐Ÿ˜ It's painted with the colour "Purple Haze Megashift Pearl" which is designed to change colour depending on how the light reflects off it.
  15. Pah! Amateur! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ I posted a parcel with Herpes on the 18th Oct and I'm still chasing it! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜
  16. I've tried out a number of pieces of software to help me learn tracks and the one I found best is the "Amazing Slow Downer". Yes I agree its not the best named package but it does a lot more than it says on the tin. ๐Ÿ™‚ The website is HERE. You could use the trial version to see if its what you're looking for before paying. It's about ยฃ50 so not cheap but after trying others out I was happy to pay for its simplicity, quality and convenience. It has a simple interface which allows the usual pitch / speed changes but also you can set loops to practice specific riffs, adjust EQ to help hear the bass. The two elements that sold it for me were the quality of the sound when you really slow a track down. Its not perfect but didn't break up as much as a lot of the others I tried. The other one is that you can save several presets to one track. This means I can come back to a song, recall a preset that changes the pitch / speed / selects a specific loop / apply the EQ within seconds. Great if you want to gradually build up speed on a riff, you can keep increasing the tempo and then save it as a reference point.
  17. Mmmm....what I read from the Ebay advert is that he's selling an original but badly defretted Wal neck attached to a "bitsa" body and elecronics that are definitely not Wal? All that for ONLY ยฃ6,999 ๐Ÿคฃ
  18. I do....but they wouldn't get past the Basschat censor! ๐Ÿคฃ
  19. Hi, yes it's hanging on the wall here, waiting for a new owner ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽธ
  20. Hi @tom That's a very good question and the answer is......(drum roll)......I'm not exactly sure ๐Ÿค” I've done some digging around and found the following which may / may not be of any help: The pickups in my bass only have Sadowsky marked on the cases (unless another knowledgable Basschatter can point to any identification / manufacturing marks?) Doing an internet search brings up some history but nothing conclusive - In this 2001 link from Talkbass from Roger says they've only used DiMarzio, Basslines and EMG up to that point. This thread from 2014 says that Nordstrand were offered for a while as an option (quote #6) which infers to me that it would be more likely to be in a NYC custom and not my Metroline (could be wrong though) This thread from 2009 narrows it down a little to show that Sadowsky/Nordstrand setups started around the time of my bass being built so it could be a possibility but I cant be sure. ๐Ÿค” So in conclusion I think my answer is pretty inconclusive...sorry! I do know that whoever made them they were good enough to get the Sadowsky approval and do sound very nice ๐Ÿ™‚
