  1. Having just sold a bass to Guy, I can honestly say that the whole transaction from the original PM to him walking out the front door, was excellent. A really nice bloke who I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else... Thanks again...
  2. For sale is a pair of ACME LED Scan 25's. Both are boxed, in immaculate condition and totally unused. They were purchased approximately 2 weeks ago from a UK dealer for my wedding and function band but since the orginal purchase date, our circumstances have completely changed and we've had to redesign our whole lighting rig and our equipment set-up purely down to a logistics issue. These scan lights are superb. Link them together for a simultaneous effect. 1 x 25W LED Beam angle: 14 degrees Pan: 166 degrees, Tilt: 54 degrees 0-100% dimming and variable strobe via DMX 8 fixed gobo/colour wheel + open DMX channels: 5 Sound active, auto, master/slave and DMX modes Optional CA-8 or CA-9 controller 3-pin XLR in/out sockets IEC power in/out sockets Power consumption: 52W Power supply: 100-240V~50/60Hz Dimensions: 168 x 197 x 338mm Weight: 3.5Kgs They are boxed, with all packaging, leads and instructions. They have no dents, dinks, scratches, missing parts etc... They are not retruns, repairs etc... The only reason for selling is literally down to logistics within the band. Loads of reviews and Youtube clips. New they cost £165 each (£330), asking £260 for a quick sale... I'm based just outside Dunstable in Bedfordshire. Junction 12, M1. Take a look at my feedback... I'm also selling a boxed unsued Rhino LG 350 Lighting Stand / Goalpost / Truss system if interested. 3. Very quick payment, within an hour of the initial posting of the pedal on the forum! Superb communication. Do not hesitate to deal with. Just as it should be..
  4. Brand spanking new 2m 'Tour Grade' Neutrik Speakon to Speakon. Lynx Pro OFC cable. This came with an amp i recently purchased. Unused. £10 to include postage. SOLD....
  5. Just setting my rack up as we speak. With all the plugs at the back of the rack, what's the best solution to power them all from a single lead? 4 plugs into an extension lead, but then ??? To the power lead so it literally is connect up, plug in and off you go....
  6. Looks perfect for what I'm trying to do.... Cheers for the suggestion....

  8. Not wrong there!!! Unpacking and setting up took 5 minutes. All evening I had a cheesy grin on my face. The sound was superb and so clear! I found myself keep kicking my right leg out though through habit of moving my lead away from my pedal board. Best bit of kit I've bought in ages and believe you me it was a struggle to actually get me to give in and actually but one in the first place. My only gripe is the appearance and quality of the supplied lead but that's an easy fix and already in hand with our lead guru from here...
  9. Literally just purchased a Line6 G55 and outside the rehearsal studio waiting for it to open. I'll let you know how I get on 'cable free'.....
  10. Two bits of wood with a nut and bolt through each corner. Put it in the airing cupboard and every few days tighten the bolts very slightly all the way around for tension. Too much pressure too quickly will cause it to split and crack!!!
  11. Yes, change the jack socket. Last time I had mine changed it cost £20 fitted.
  12. I quite like the idea of getting rid of my pedalboard, mounting my pedals in a rack (2u draw?), and using some form of foot controller (something like the Tech21 Moose?) to turn the required pedals on and off.... As an all in one 'box of tricks', I'm thinking of a 4u shallow rack consisting of the 2u draw of pedals (I only use about 4/5 so plenty big enough), a rack tuner of some description and a rack wireless system (possibly the Line6 G55). Why? I've got OCD of people trampling over my leads and worried in case my pedals either get pinched or wedding guests spilling drinks all over them. The least amount of gear I can have out front the better. There doesn't appear to be much choice for rackmounted bass effects other than those primarily used for guitars (G a Major etc). Is what I'm looking to do achievable within minimal fuss? Any better solutions? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
  13. I got one a little while ago after trying a fair few first. Fantastic bit of kit. Very versatile and as subtle as you want it to be. I haven't felt the need to download any if the tone print thingies yet though....
  14. Well, I thought I was sorted but after a couple of lessons he has completely fallen off the radar!!! No explanation, nothing..... Oh well, any other recommendations out there?
  15. I've a Mono strap and a Comfort strap and find the Comfort one a little, well, more comfy. The weight displacement seems better. In terms of standing. You'll find that you have a 'default' standing position when your play that you always revert too. It's just muscle memory. What ever this is, swop it over. So, if you stand with your left leg forward, try it with your right. The other thing is to turn your feet out wards slightly. It really feels strange to start with but it helped me a lot. As a pro sax player and flautist, we were given lessons in the Alexander technique (posture etc) as the show I was working with we're sick of paying out for sickness!!! Again, it proved invaluable....
