    Sounds like its going to be a great one!!! We'll try and get a power source from outside the room in case it does go... As a rough guide I'll monitor it via an app I've found but 98dBs does sound very low... Hopefully as mentioned above it has a traffic light system so at least I can see something during the gig. Can't wait......

    Apologies if this has already been covered but we've got a wedding gig coming up and the venue has sent us a very comprehenisve list of do and don'ts including playing within the limits of their fitted sound limiter. Part of the requirement is that live music is below 98 decibels in accordance with their license. A quick web search states that 98dB's is equivalent to a farm tractor!...??? How do you monitor what level you are playing at? Does anyone use some form of meter that tells them if they are close? I can't think of anything more embarassing than going into a chorus to find the thing trips all the band's electrics out!!! Any advice or recomendations (other than playing quietly) would be most welcome....

    Unless anyone can tell me otherwise, when posting you can't buy insurance to cover the whole amount of the cost of musical instruments, therefore I'm not willing to post, sorry. Even enhanced insurance is capped for instruments!!! I'm willing to meet within a reasonable distance of Dunstable though...

    Up for sale is my Musicman Stingray 5 in Candy Apple Red with Black pickguard. A 2003 model, it is in excellent condition bar some slight buckle rash on the rear and a couple of small knicks which will not show up on the photographs. Lovely and light at approximately 9lbs. I purchased it from here as a back-up bass but it's far too nice for what i need it for hence the sale. It's had a recent professional set-up and fitted with D'Addario XL's and Dunlop Straplocks. All original. There's no case included with the sale however i have a SKB case with TSA locks which I'm willing to let go if interested for an additional cost. I'm willing to trade but I'm only looking for a Mayones 5 stringer of some desciption.... I can add cash if required.... If you'd like to come and view it or give it a try I'm based about 4 miles from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, Junction 12 of the M1.     Had a great function last night at the Hurlingham Club, Putney. Started at 1030pm so yes, we were concerned over the England game. The dance floor was packed by the 2nd song which is always very reassuring and by 11pm we started to lose a few but held onto a nice number right through to the end who were all very much up for it... Really enjoyed it and what a fantastic venue. Bloody traffic getting there was a nightmare though!!!
