  7. ... That was a blanket 'Musical Instrument' clause too...
  8. Don't - arrange to meet somewhere halfway!!! I sent a bass earlier in the year through Citylink. Had an on -line chat with one of their representatives over insurance costs to which I decided to go with them. The bass was packaged very well inside a hard case and then packed again into a guitar cardboard carton. It arrived damaged. The end strap pin had pierced the case causing that to break and there was some form of fracture split to the lacquer on the guitar itself. I'm fully insured though right? NO!!! When it came to making the claim, hidden in the small print was the clause that the maximum payout for damage in transit would be £100 irrespective as to how much insurance was taken out in the first place. Was I misinformed? Yes. If I'd have known the above then I wouldn't have sent it... Be warned and check the maximum amount you can claim for.

  10. I'm in a five piece and everyone has a different coloured lead going into the PA. It makes it easier to connect and identify a problem. Bit OCD though....
  11. Weddings and functions for us are generally 2 x 60min sets or 3 x 40 mins. Pubs, usually about 90 mins as dictated by the landlords.
  12. As all the above. I did it for my rack gear as I wanted the flexibility of a lead that could be stored inside the case. There's not much room in there and this worked a treat.
  13. Now that is beautiful!.... Have a bump on me....
  14. Cheers JTUK. I thought there may have been a glimmer of hope of being able to reduce our kit!
  15. Are you giving yourself a decent warmup before launching into the more challenging set?
  16. I'm with Lozz196 on that one... A nice bit of carefully considered relicing looks superb.
  17. Has anyone any thoughts on these yet? I'm in the market for a fretless and really like the look of these...
  18. Any further reviews on the HK Elements? I'm in a 5 piece wedding / function band and we are looking to beef up our sound but scale down on the size of the equipment. Is this possible? Can these systems handle everything? Positives as well as negatives would be most welcome....
