I went on Sunday and had a great day. Just walking around, having a look and listen soaking up the ambience of it all.... Saw Mo Foster and Lee Sklar who I thought were both great. Lee Sklar I found particularly inspiring even to the extent that when I got home I downloaded 'Rubberband Man'....... I haven't stopped playing it since. Even now I'm getting fidgety needing my fix!!! Yes there were issues with the sound levels etc especially when trying to speak about gear to exhibitors. Hopefully if the organisers read these comments, then they may change their approach for next year. However, it's the same comments that crop up year after year. What do they do at drum and guitar shows to kerb the volume? Can anything be learnt from the organisation of these? As said, I certainly would not like to lose the show and will continue to support it year after year.

Aren't we supposed to be moving to plastic coated notes soon anyway like the Australians? Apparently a lot harder to copy....

There is so much fake curency in circulation that the police and banks can't keep appropriate tabs on it. As said previously, not many people including myself, see £50 notes that often so don't really know what they are looking for other than it's feel and general look. I don't like accepting £50 notes in payment, nor do I accept them from a bank. I find them a complete pain as on the occasions I've tried to spend them they've been refused and I end up having to go into my bank to change them down.

It's a nightmare!!! Came up with what we thought to be a great band name, only to find out that if you sign up with an agent they want a different name in case the potential clients book you independently !!!

I've always used Roqsolid covers. Very reliable and hard wearing. So if the covers are anything to go by, then the bags should be just as good....

Small baby steps, one step at a time. Eventually you'll start to recognise the shape in front of you and it will become second nature. Same question as Bilbo above: How much time are you dedicating to it?

I've also got a TU3. As previously said, a little dull in bright sunshine but still readable. At light light it's as clear as a bell. I found that it ate battery life so would recommend mains power.

Hi, Can anyone recommend a recording studio situated anywhere from Milton Keynes upto the West Midlands? Yes, there are plenty touting their skills on the web but I'd rather hear of any recommendations from here if possible. We are a five piece wedding / function band (female vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, backing vocals) looking to record 2-3 tracks (covers) for marketing purposes. We did the same last year and went to a studio blind. Never again! Has to be friendly and relaxed with an engineer who knows his stuff! We are not on a budget as such, well yes we are, but we are after a quality recording and understand you get what you pay for. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.....

Likewise the SR300. I sold mine on eBay a few years back for £150 so it may give you an indication of prices.

I'll pass Number 4 onto our drummer... He's got more metal around him than a scrap yard!!!

On the High Hat side. Also helps for the backing vocals as we can see each other's mouths moving (we really should sit down and learn them though)!!!
