  1. These are superb basses for the money. The neck profile is the best I've played to date.... Good luck
  2. As part of a recent cull, I'm putting my Status 'The Groove' 5 string bass up for sale. Condition is used, but very good. Superficial scratches and a nick to the top of the headstock. No missing finish. The neck on this is absolutely superb. I initially bought it from a fellow basschatter as a spare backup bass. I was so blown away by the feel of the neck I have used it as my main bass of choice ever since. But, it's time to go... 34" Scale Rosewood Fingerboard Active / Passive selector switch 18mm STring Spacing Graphite re-inforced neck Black high gloss body Dunlop Strap Locks Recently fitted D'Addario XL's Collection from Dunstable, Bedfordshire. £280
  3. Have a look at the Schroeder SP12's. Absolutely awesome. Light as a feather and by far the best cabs I've used so far... They came shipped direct Schroeders in California but even with import tax etc they were well worth it and no more expensive than the other contenders out there.
  4. As already mentioned, break it up into small segments or divide into natural phrases. Not too long though. Slow the speed down and then gradually speed up once you've got it cracked. If the tempo reads eg. 120 bpm, I'll aim to be able to play it at 130+ so that it all fits nicely... Good luck...
  5. If Frankenstein played guitar and all that....
  6. We go through a set of RCF 422's and the sound is superb! Coupled with these subs this must make an absolute fantastic rig... Good luck with the sale...
  7. Bernadette - Four Tops. Once heard it whilst sitting in on a university audition. Superb and allows you to embellish it within reason anyway...
  8. Some lovely ones there. Looking to order one over the next few weeks.....
  9. Hi, Recently bought this on a whim. Spent an afternoon cutting the cable to size, went to a rehearsal and found I didn't like the 'new' boards set-up, therefore went back to my original one. These now don't fit !!! It was purchased as part of a kit (Tightrope Solder Free Kit) but I purchased an extra 4 plugs / jacks. All are angled. All of them have seen one rehearsal and that's all !!!! I've removed all of the cable from the jacks and ensured no cable was left inside the jack plug. However one, I can't be sure there isn't a little bit of copper inside due to the fact that the cable looked as though it had snapped upon removing it. This Jack has blue tape around it's shaft so you know which one it was. It may be OK but I don't have any way of checking. Also included is the original stripping tool. I'm located just outside Dunstable if you want to collect. *** I've taken pictures of them but can't upload. Send me your email address via PM and ill forward one on ***
  10. For Sale is a Semi Flight Case suitable for Bass Guitar. The previous owner has taken it around a bit by the look of some of the stickers, but the case itself is very strong and sturdy. I started to 'foam' it out to fit my Sadowsky but too be honest, the likelyhood of me playing anywhere that would need such a heavy duty case was minimal, therefore I lost interest, didnt't re-line it and put it back up the loft where it has remained until now... The dimensions are as follows: Externally: 130cm wide x 48cm deep x 15cm tall. Internally: Bottom lid is 7.5cm Tall x 45cm deep x 127cm wide, top lid is 5cm tall. Weight by a cheapo set of luggage scales is 16.5 kgs. Collection from Dunstable, Bedfordshire OR I'm willing to ship it provided all the arrangements and costs are met by yourself. *** As usual, I can't upload any pics. If PM me your email address i'll forward some on ***
  11. We had a pair until both over-heated during a rather low volume rehearsal. We couldn't take the risk of them giving up during a wedding so we got rid of them. The new owner only wanted them for vocals so was willing to take the risk! We weren't overloading them, just 4 mics and keyboard. Everything else went through its own back line. I think they were V1's. We just couldn't trust them....
  12. A nice quality stick bag perhaps?
  13. Our drummer has recently picked up a Cajon Box Drum. A novelty? Oh yes, but he loves it....
