1. I've just recently purchased a Status 'The Groove' 5 string. I got it to go to and fro to rehearsals and for the occasional pub gig. The neck is superb on it, even to the extent that for the exception of a band photo shoot, my Sadowsky's haven't even been taken out the case! I'm so impressed with it that I'm thinking of ordering a Status soon...

Recently purchased a MXR Compressor from Steve. From start to finish, the transaction was superb. I was in a little hurry to get the pedal so that is could be used for a recording session and Steve was more than accommodating in ensuring I got it in time. The pedal itself was brand spanking new! Exactly as described.....
3. Steve very kindly held these cabs for me but due to unforeseen circumstances I've had to pull out of the sale. His communication has been excellent throught and having traded faultlessly with him recently, I can't recommend him enough.... Whoever buys these will be very very eased I'm sure...
4. I had one of these a while back and loved it! Have an early bump on me....
5. I've got a Protec Contego which is still serving me very well. A tip i picked up hear on Basschat recently was to put cable ties between the strap connectors and the actual body of the bag in case one of them breaks. At least then the cable tie will take the strain long enough for you to realize that one has broken. In fact, I ended up attaching them to my bass straps too just in case....
6. Whoever managed to get their paws on the P Bass, how far do you reckon they managed to get home in one piece?
7. I've had the cheaper £7 stands usually found in the wire baskets by the counters of music shop. They serve a purpose until your beloved bass takes a swan dive. As a result I purchased a couple of Hercules single stands years ago, and to this date I still find them very sturdy and reliable. It's extremely reassuring to hear of the customer service should I ever have an issue with them though....
8. If it's good it'll last, and there seems to be a lot of interest around the 60's stuff for weddings at the minute (age group 25-35 years)...

11. You've possibly joined the ranks of what is the most addictive 'pleasures' out there.... Good luck

13. Thanks barkin. They are up for renewal soon so I'll see if I can do something with them...
14. Excellent topic: I've had a similar 'nightmare. Can anyone tell me what benefits are there for being on the WHOIS register please? I have several domains listed and it shows my home address and details by just clicking on a few buttons. This is something I don't want open to anyone and everyone. How easy is it to be taken off this register or shown as the equivalent as ex-directory and what drawbacks if any would this present by coming off? Sorry Funkgod if this seems as though I'm high jacking your thread but domain registration etc appears to be a minefield.....
15. One that will never wear thin is: "You know I need this one, but I really do love you! " It's our wedding anniversary on Sunday. I'm sure she asked for an MXR Compressor and a Lava Patch Cable Kit ?
16. Look for a Korg 01/W or 01/WFD. They took over from the M1 years ago. Some great sounds and very versatile. I still have an 01/Wpro (the 76 note version) which I purchased on the day they came out. Then it was £2700. I've used it professionally ever since.
17. I've always considered good protection a must. What's the point in spending a fortune on gear to have it protected by some flimsy inferior which after one drop or knock, breaks. I've just got hold of a Pedaltain Junior with Hard Case and blimey, this case is hardcore.... Heavy, but good strong and sturdy.... I've always been tempted to build my own but by the time you cost the bits needed, there's not much in it. It'll be a custom fit though and to your exact requirements.
18. I've always gone for the "You know I love you BUT I really do need this one?" approach ....... it's starting to wear a little thin now unfortunately.....
19. Thanks for the offer, but it's not what I'm after at this moment. I would consider a trade for a MXR Compressor with cash adjustment your way if anyone has one?
