  1. It would need to be brilliant! £336 for a 40 watt amp?
  2. I knew what one you meant, but still not seeing it. Closer to the Fender Rumble v3 heads IMO, or the Peavey Minimax... or something Markbass. But I think it's a stretch to say they've copied the look of anything else - there are only so many ways you can arrange that number of controls on a small surface area like that.
  3. How very Paul Masvidal of you!
  4. SO>MUCH>WANT>
  5. I wonder what the thinking was behind that decision? Surely they don't see these as being the central part of a cheap "more me" IEM system? They're not the only such device to be configured this way. The rather awesome 3 Leaf Enabler was the same. I wonder what the current Darkglass Ultra offerings with cab sim and headphone out do? EDIT: Darkglass don't have an AUX in... genius...
  6. I will once again toot the horn for the Line 6 Studio 110... The Roland Cube 30 is also rather awesome!

    NickCarey

Bought a Hipshot Vintage bridge from Nick last week. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Top banana!
  8. So good I've owned 3!
  9. What? Maybe in the same way a Lada looks like a ferrari cos they've both got 4 wheels!
  10. What putty did you use good sir?
  11. I went one further than loosening strings when I recently shipped a bass to Denmark - neck off! Keeps size of the parcel down too. Not always possible, but I do it when I can. Fully insured UPS. Not cheap, but no issues that I've experienced.
  12. You mean like this:
  13. Tort!!!
  14. Try running it into a single channel and taking bridging out of the equation too.
  15. Look closer... Especially at the mismatch between the headstock wood and the neck wood. And the nut area. Like the way the strings coming from the headstock don't line up with the ones passing over the nut. Photoshop job.
  16. Not to point out the obvious, but you can measure whether it'll work for yourself: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1574/0577/files/5K500.PDF?8765090250675003951
  17. What a board!
  18. I've known many drummers worthy of such critique...
  19. Shovel drums? So he's rigged a shovel up as a midi controller. Sounds much more impressive than it actually is...
  20. It's only taken 11 pages... Different strokes for different folks I suppose! For a hard cutoff HPF like the Thumpinator, then 24dB is certainly more appropriate. For speaker sim 12dB is better, but might still be a little harsh for some applications.
  21. No not maximum attenuation. -12dB per Octave. Every time you drop an octave (half the frequency) you're another 12dB down. Take the example of a -12dB/Octave HPF with a cutoff frequency of 200Hz (obviously high for bass guitar use, but just for illustration). At 100Hz the filter is cutting 12dB, at 50Hz it's cutting 24dB, at 25Hz it's cutting 36dB, and so on.
  22. Uncommonly good!
  23. An eBay auction is a strange way to do it... Social media maybe, but this is silly.
