That's what I'm thinking. I'd only need a simple it works/there's a problem device but the more connections the better IMO.

Anyone use cable testers (and therefore would recommend any)? Considering something like this: http://www.audiospares.com/product.php?productid=99 or for a bit more (but does ethernet cables too): http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/sep11/articles/ultimate-cable-tester.htm I currently use a multimeter but find that a third or fourth hand would make life easier and like the idea of plugging the cables in and giving them a good wiggle whilst getting a visual indication. I'd considered making a basic tester but the variety of cables these accept makes me think it might be worth a punt for the gig bag...?

Despite our preferences, at least they are both understood in English. Statut, stato or estado less so (blame Google translate not me if wrong!). Similarly with 'data' (day-ta or dar-ta). The pronunciation of words such as these may either regionalise you or make you sound like a twit depending on your take on it. Anyway, surely 'fender' is a better word! 😉

Yup, if it wasn't for the Jam and Bruce Foxton I probably wouldn't have got into music like I did and may never have picked up a bass guitar. Fortunately saw the Jam four times in my youth and have seen FTJ a few times but not since Rick left. Thoroughly recommended to anyone thinking about it - either to have a good jump about or to study the great man's playing.
