1. I have a budget of around £450-500 (including bass as part exchange) to treat myself to a half decent guitar. I mostly play rock though I am starting to try different styles so I'm looking for something that's quite versatile. I've been looking at (on the web) various types of Les Paul, Ibenez RG's, Jackson's and the Squier VM Telecasters but the choice is so vast that I've lost track. Any pointers would be appreciated.
2. I received a packet from Hermes that had vehicle tyre prints running across it. I couldn't believe they actually had the brass neck to deliver it.
3. Billy seems like a nice bloke. I've watched a few of his videos and he's always full of good advice.
4. Easiest way is to use a really long bit. I have one I bought from the US that's about 300mm long (not cheap) They sometimes go by the name 'aircraft drill bits', the common long series aren't long enough I find.
5.
One of, if not the best looking bass ive ever seen can be found in the 'build' section, the Waghorn RD Artist is in my eyes a phenomenal looking instrument. Take a bow Shockwave!
+1
6. No probs. Do you have any offcuts you can test the finish on? It might not show once it's wetted out with finish.
7. I usually use a compressor to blow it out then give it a good clean with meths. I avoid water when it's near finish sanded as it raises the grain.
8. Always enjoy your builds Jabba. What finish you going for?
9. Any updates? This has got to be one of the nicest custom builds I have seen. Absolutely beautiful.
10. Really nice job there. Like a different bass.
11. Some of Bill Gould's basslines are very simple but bloody hard to play right.

Sold!

Some of his videos are hilarious. I've been watching him on YT for a while.
13. Couldn't help but watch this again. The leaning on the neck bit at 3:04 is the best.
14.
My ideal would be to join a local band who just did it for the fun and didn't worry about gigging, just turn up to a studio once a fortnight, turn up the volume and have a blast for a couple of hours then go for a beer...
This is something I would enjoy getting involved in. I can't imagine I'd ever have the balls to get up in front of a crowd.
15. Do you have a before picture? I'm not sure what it is that they have done.
16. That's a lovely looking bass. The wood is just right for a natural/oil finish I think - not too flashy. Is that a Corkwring wrasse in your avatar?
17. It's not too bad for a WB. Get a jigsaw and give it a top horn.
18. I'm amazed that this company exists in the UK. Great video and I hope they have a bright future. I was expecting a warehouse full of boxes with Chinese writing on them.
19. Led Zeppelin: Mothership. Not a bad track on it.
