Hello

Welcome to the forum
2.
Bruce Millers had some on display the last time I was in (mind you that was several years ago...).
Well, they're probably still there, knowing them
3. Epiphone EB-3 with a Laney 30W amp. Can't remember how much I spent. Don't have the bass any more, still have the amp though.

8. Hi there While idly pottering around the wibbly wobbly web this lunchtime I found myself researching the Yamaha BB414/614 basses. They look quite nice, and are inexpensive enough to have a speculative punt, plus you'll probably get your money back if you then sell it on. One question I can't seem to get a definitive answer on is the neck width. I thought I'd ask the experts (that's you). Would someone who owns a 414/614 be so kind as to measure the neck at the nut and the string spacing at the bridge and let me know what they find, along with their general impressions of playing the neck? No immediate plans to strike, but if I do have a bit of slack in the funds in the next few months I might have a go at one of these, if the neck is right. People seem to say nice things about them. Cheers Matt

Hi

Welcome to the forum Can't help you with your query though - try posting it in the Bass Guitars forum and I'm sure a 5 string expert will be along shortly.
10. I'm sure they're perfectly functional. I've not used one myself, but know of people who use them without complaint.
11. I prefer there to be as little as possible. As a result, I probably have a slightly higher action than some people would like.
12. Take a look here: http://www.stringbusters.com/frameset.asp?...RINGS/DADDARIO/
13.
Can't believe you're selling this Matt. I've played it and it has extraordinary punch for a bass in this price range.
Skinto man, house needs attention and I need curry/beer tokens for the bass bash
14. Here is a Korean Tokai Thunderbird for sale or trade. You know the score on these things - 34" scale, alder body, set maple neck, 2 humbuckers, volume, volume, passive tone. I bought it for a joke to wind up our P bass loving (and everything else hating) guitarist. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its sound (good output, meaty, thick humbucker sound but with some pleasing mids) and the neck is nice and chunky, more P than J. Will take measurements later. It's finished black top to toe. There are a few scuffs on the end of the headstock and some slight marking near the bridge where I guess it was sitting in an ill-suited stand. Balances about as well as can be expected from a reverse T-bird - about horizontal with a grippy suede-y strap. Here are some pics (apologies for quality, they're on my phone): Will come with a suitable gigbag. Calling this one at £180 + postage.

Panda Eyes Gigs

Late notice gig! Only found out about it today - we'll be playing at the Tunnels tomorrow night (9th). Doors at 8pm, 4 bands, 4 pounds.
16. If you don't want it, I'll have it
17. I'm in a band called Panda Eyes, we're a 4 piece (vocals, guitar, bass, drums) hailing from Aberdeen. I find it really hard to pigeonhole us into a genre, it's female fronted indie rock with folky and americana sprinkles. Or people want to think it is, I just hope people think it's good. 18. Err, never mind, I can't read properly
19. Welcome to the forum
20. As an owner of one I can vouch for their quality, they're a scary amount of bass for the money, lovely USA MFD pickups, big solid bridge, well finished, well screwed together. These are £600 new, which makes this one a steal at this price.
