1. I am loving the feel and sound of Ernie Ball regular slinky strings on my Precision bass at the mo. JTB
2. I stand corrected. Thanks for the info and clarification, I never knew that. Do you still have the pickguard and or any accessories that came with the guitar?
3. Hi Bradthebass, I notice from the rear headstock photo that the serial number indicates it's actually a 1992 model (1st & 5th numbers). Just wanted to point that out for you. I just don't have the moolah for this but can't stop looking at this beut! Regards, JTB
4.
blokes, thanks for all the interest, ive been trying a few 2x15s locally but apart from the mesa(and thats no longer going) they sound flat as a fart next to the diesel, so i got no choice but to take it off sale. i'll just havta go back to using me jazz for most of the set. thanks again for the enquiries, and those that particularly want a diesel 4x10 should hang out til they get one..id forgotten just how good it was for the sound i personally love until i went to change it
Good man and you know it makes sense! Cheers, JTB
5. What a fantastic idea of getting the videos hosted on here, he's a cracking player! Any more development on that idea Chaps?
6. WOW - Very nice  A bit Slash looking with the black humbuckers and no pickguard. Take me down to the paradise city...
7.
...the swiss army knife of pedals...
+1 I have a lot of love for the M80 too, it's been on my board for a few years now and I can't speak highly enough of it. Last band rehearsal I got a great, slightly breaking up distortion going that reminded me a lot like the old Deep Purple sound!
8. I believe the ESP Tom Araya model is a 35" 4 string.... ...It is see HERE Don't know if that helps? Cheers, JTB
9.
I thought a lot of Duff's sound came from a MXR M-80 pedal
I think that has been more to do with Velvet Revolver and that over driven sound rather than the old Guns stuff, I say that 'cos that pedal ain't been around that long! Also to point out what Dood said, I think the P & J pickup configuaration is a lot to do with the sound also. Dood - let us know how you get on nailing the Duff sound, am interested to hear. Will you go for the really 'clanky' chourusy sound or the more subtle/traditional Duff sound? JTB
10. Yes please, More pictures Jono!

14. It all looked so effortlessly done - WOW
15. Stunning bass. I sadly can't afford such a beast but can you tell me what ballpark price would secure a sale on it? Cheers, JTB
16. I think I'd have walked. There's plenty of other retailers that want your business.
17. TBH when I work a sound out at home I then normally find it doesn't sit right with the band! I have found that my Precision or Jazz bass into the Sadowsky pre amp/D.I. pedal seems to do the job perfectly into pretty much any amp that'll keep up with a loud drummer. JTB
18.
Mornin’ all! Gave my new P bass a proper thrashing last night in rehearsals and decided I want to change the PUPs. The output is noticeably quieter than my CIJ P bass. The tone from the original PUPs is pretty much what I want, but I do want a bit more grunt and grind (oh, sounds a bit saucy!) so I reckon on fitting some Quarter Pounders. Never having done that before, is it relatively easy? Also where is my best bet at getting them for a sexy low groovy price? Anyone clearing out a set on here? Cheers y’all Mark
Hi Mark, I just swapped a SD Qtr Pounder from one of my P basses last night funnily enough... The p'up certainley gives you more output and a modern clarity to the P bass sound aswell. There's plenty of descriptions of it on the forum here if you search. I only changed my one out cos I've got 3 P's now and they all had Qtr Pounders in, make of that what you will! It was easy to change and only took me half an hour. As for the one that came out it's working perfectly though showing some play wear, make me an offer? Cheers, Jon.
19. All over the place - Second hand (here, Gumtree, Loot, eBay, etc), online, in shops.
20. Very cool bass you have there! Well done. \m/ SHOUT AT THE DEVIL \m/
21. Sorry to hear you've been 'crunched' Matt and it's a shame I don't have the funds to buy her off you Have a bump on me for a good man and a good bass! Good luck with the sale Mate, Jon.
22. Thanks for the info Guys and that makes sense. Cheers, JTB
23. I see they specify them for P basses, but this is different from what is in there already. What will that value do for a P bass? Cheers, JTB P.S. see the cap HERE
24. Fast and smooth deal done with Alistair this week, thanks for that. A very nice man to do business with! Kind regards, Jon.
