2.
I'll take the P ones for £25 +post if he wants the jazz for similar.
OK then. I've PM'd Stevie so will let you know what's happening ASAP. Cheers, Jon.
  3.
I'll have the Jazz off you. Which should make it easier for you to sell the Precision, I'd think. Stevie
Make me an offer! PM'd
  4. All sold. Thanks Guys.
  5.
...I'll probably install some Sadowsky circuitry into a bass that I feel more comfortable with.
How about the Sadowsky outboard pre-amp/DI pedal, that's what I use to add that signature sound to my passive Fenders, etc. JTB
  6.
£110 for the p/up, pot, knob and fitting. I did the D Tuner myself.
Good stuff and thanks for letting me know. JTB
  7. Albert King - Born Under a Bad Sign... The album, all of it! Sends shivers up me spine every time!
  8.
... If my back wasnt wrecked by years of humping (gear that is!)...................
LOL

Managed to snag Tony's Wizard Area 51 P pickup off him and it was a pleasure doing business, thanks Mate. Jon.
  14. Have you had a look at pickfactory.com ?
  15. I think if you are happy with your sound then that's it, case closed, It doesn't matter what make and model your amp and cab is. FWIW the best bass sound I ever heard was a Stingray stright into an Ampeg SVT2pro amp and Ampeg 8x10" cab. Simply stunning, but then there was roadies moving it about! Cheers, JTB
  16.
Any pics?!
+1
  17. Surely it's a 'horses for courses' situation. There's nothing wrong with the POD and IEM setup, if there's enough P.A. at your gigs to cope. If not then having a powered monitor or power amp & speaker cab there to cover things would sort it. Good luck on your quest! BTW I always loved the idea of a backline and monitor free stage setup, with electronic drums, pods and IEM's instead. I think it was Garbage that toured like that some years ago. It must be wierd taking an earpiece out to hear...nothing!
  18. Also came and bought a Peavey TNT amp off me. Nice chap and a pleasure to do business with. Cheers Max, JTB.
  19.
If you're based in the UK and you play bass, post a photo of your finest facial gigging moment for the chance to win a Midget. The best submisssion of 2009 will receive a Barefaced Midget completely free of charge (if you'd rather have a Compact then we'll have to have a whip round for the extra £25 quid). My decision is final, this is not a democracy. And thus a tie-breaker is required from each respondent: One groovy sentence that hits the Barefaced vibe. Doesn't need to be about anything in particular, just has to shizzle ma nizzle, you feel me? Alex
What a great competition Alex, game on!
  20. GAS, GAS, GAS!
  21.
I think you're lucky it was just the council they contacted. They didn't call the old bill.
+1 I had the Police round once when there was a drum kit and guitar amp up and running one night. Not so nice I can tell you. As said before, I would just use a rehearsal room/Pub/Church Hall, etc. JTB
  22. If it is a straight shoot out between a stock Fender USA model and a Shuker on a blind sale then I'd go Shuker every time. Also with Mr. Shuker you only need to put a deposit down to have one built, with the balance due on completion. Cheers, JTB
