3. Miles Ahead is my fave MD.
4. Just listening to it again to see whether it has any merits I previously missed. Sadly, I still don't get any real sense of why. Lot's of stuff but no context. A jam on nothing in particular.
5.
(Note to self: Buy dog...)
You'll need at least three.
6. I don't really do back-beats, guys. I am sure that is why I keep losing out
7. PS I apologise for my intonation on the last chord. It is rough as a******es but I wasn't going to do it again. PPS I wrote it and recorded it in less than 30 minutes. I am a bad man
8. I voted for you, Dad (really, I did)
9. I cope (sniff)
10. Yeah. But 13 months in, I have never won....
11. My October effort. A solo bass piece I call Calypso Zoom because it is a solo bass calypso recorded on a Zoon H1 - my kit is coming apart for an imminent house move so low tech solutions this month!! 12. I wrote mine while walking the dogs and typed it into Sibelius. Made a midi file, transported to Cubase and populated with MP vst cello.
13. My certificate came yesterday I also heard that a copy is available at Liverpool's Central Library. It made me happy and satisfies my Socialist leanings!
14. Never really worked for me. Iconic and profoundly influential but not on my listening list.
15. Tony Kofi. Monster.
16. The secret is in the fermatas!
17. The language people are using make me think folk think the cello in my piece was 'played'. I repeat that it is a VST and was 'typed' in.
18. Thanks, guys. My only objective is to give the image a soundtrack. I seem to have achieved that so am happy enough.
19. Bars 97-103!! Monster. (3.39 - 3.53 on the youtube version).
20. That Liebman article is gold dust.
