the mudbucker sounds nice in the first video too
-
beat me to it - was just about to say how the fod is the least interesting! whodathought that an eb3 mudbucker would sound better than the hallowed foderas 🤣
-

The only local stores of note seem to rely on the music school side of their business two that come to mind in medway and faversham are well stocked but also have a very extensive teaching program and probably as many (if not more) tutors than sales staff there are a small number of boutique high end places but by their nature they dont seem affected as they rarely operate under the same economic conditions as the average high street shop

thats all well and good but whn you been stood on a stage at volume next to a drumkit for a while your ears will possibly react differently
-
no do NOT trust your ears... unless you can absolutley guarantee that you have no hearing loss or impairment or suffer from impairment at volume - whilst thankfully not permanent, i do get hearing fatigue ocassionally at gigs where pitches especially in the range open E to open A just start sounding muddy and even though my korg pitchblack is telling me im perfectly in tune to my ears it still sounds slightly off pitch)
-
The more likely reason could be that one or more of the stringed instruments has the intonation set incorrectly - the open strings will sound superbly in tune but it all sounds horrendous the further you venture up the neck (extreme string wear/dulling can also contribute to this effect)
-
None whatsoever most likely - the only difference should be if you go into the settings and move your ‘A’ away from 440Hz -
-
there are no rules specified - be nice to see some beethoven or sibelius in there maybe
-
i want to see tank and the bangas missy elliot mshell ndegeocello esperanza spalding all on stage together
-
just bought a pair of shure 215 - seem ok but sound quality wise not much different from my £12 sony walkman headphones - is only when you take the hsure out after using for an hour that you notice how much they do noise cancel all the outside noise

Has been gigged loads

Just a quick post for a big up to Dawn and Rob at Status for helping to rejuvenate my beat up old matrix energy #844 - the original BP1 board sadly expired (with a teensy bit of help from my soldering skills) and Rob was kind enough to entertain finding a solution and had a spare 4 knob boardless solution - this required an extra hole drilled in the body and a battery cavity routed into the back - previously i had also swapped out the original passive J status pups for the hyperactive J versions. When i acquired it from another basschatter about 5-6 years ago(?) it also had an adjustable schaller bridge so that was removed and the original black/brass status bridge replaced this particular workhorse has been around the block a few times and probably been previously owned by 'quite a few' - back then it always felt very nice to handle but the tone just wasnt getting there - now with the replacement pups and the 4knob status circuit it actually sounds exactly like it should do - so big thumbs up to Dawn and Rob for helping to get this sounding like it ought to - it may not be as pretty as miss myrtle but tone wise it's now up there with the rest of the status gang and makes a superb working instrument knowing you lot you'll probably be zooming in on the pic to see what the cd's are 🤣
