[/quote] +1 i was there in 79 too - page was without a doubt the most sloppy live performance ive ever seen (possibly something to do witt he fact that he had a giant rizla hanging out the side of his gob for the entire set) - bonham and jpj on the other hand ... in 33 years since then ive still yet to see a drummer and bass player outperform them +1 also regarding todd rundgren - in hindsight he really should have been the headline act would be curious to see LZ now and see how different they would be with jp sober - the o2 dome gig from what ive seen of it looked a way better live show than knebworth

not only is the slapping great but he's flapping his legs about like a good un and those stockings are actually staying up with no suspenders

you could get a new squier affinity series for that price and a VM for only a wee bit more the grain colouration in the fretboard looks bizarre - would expect the quality control at fender/squier to be a more consistent colour across the wood all you P fanboys out there... anybody else think the body shape looks slightly 'close but not quite there' ?

[/quote] I took it to a local amp specialist and he said it was something to do with those sockets on the small board at the back and that it was internal in the sockets/wiring - apparently they are non-standard hartke spec sockets - albeit regular 1/4 inch - but not sockets that you can replace from maplins is working a treat now note to self - must check to make sure both preamps and master are not maxxed and the EQ maxed and the contouring maxxed before testing it!!
