1. I don't use notifications by email but like the new posts filters a lot. Easier than getting a clogged up inbox
2. Well, just to chip in, I have not found any problems once I got used to the myriad new options and filters. I like it. In fact I also liked the new mobile version, but this is now back to the full web based one sadly. Good work :-)
3. i guess it would match better. If I had the funds I would have this F1 from you. Partial trade for my ABM as a spare for you ??
4.
To be even more boring R is commonly used instead of Omega (the Greek symbol) for ohms. Ohms, in this case, being the impedance
indeed. well said that man.
5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_resistance_and_conductance just to be boring lol
6. Yep, it is there at the bottom. 2.67R I think R means resistance, which is measured in Ohms......thinking back 20 years to education lol But that means 3 8ohm cabs, or one 4 and one 8
7. you prefer the ABM head then?
8. My evo 2 one broke too. Ashdown only have them for the evo3. So if anyone knows tell me. Mind you, my blue bungee strap wrapped around the handle fixings is actually great
9. I am sounding ungrateful there but I'm not, I'm very lucky indeed. Just never just sit and listen but I am not moaning far from it
10. Actually, I like the bas guitar, but I don't like music as much as I did - since my daughter came along 5 yrs ago there is no time for music for leisure, and it is my job to teach and play, so in fact it's a bit of a busman's holiday,,,
11.
Just to avoid anyone wasting their time, I've paid for this cab and am just awaiting delivery.
Clearly this is sold
12. You should reply bysaying that actually you were hoping to use his. This really gets my goat.
13. Why can't the lazy sod bring his own?

DHA DI-EQ

Only had a quick look as on way to a gig, but will it drive a power amp and also send a sep di to the desk?
15.
It's a dead good cab .... Here's mine with my RH236.... Although if I feel the need I have the QSC2402 booster amp available I've not used the EBS rig pictured here in months....
Wow, it beats the EBS stack? ..... and not just for weight????
16. thanks Si Sorry dropzone.
17. bollocks, wrong forum Can a mod please move to the normal Amp and Cabs section please? Sorry
18. Well, it is here. Only done a quick test so far, and did and AB with the Compact. Probably no-one will be surprised to learn that it is alot louder than the Compact, and obviously the tweeter gives (adjustable) levels of top end clarity. My ABM500 EVO2 sounds really good through it, with everything on flat, and without the shape filter engaged - so a nod to those (Prime Bass mainly) who suggested to try this. Flat EQ, and flat on the bass (SR4 3EQ) but with just a tiny boost on the bass knob on the bass, and there we go. It's quite a bit heavier than the Compact and taller. The wheels are handy. Nicely put together too. It's still a bit "tight" in the lows I suspect, and will open up with usage this weekend. Big-ish do, wedding type affair, so we will see how it gets on. However, it certainly addresses what was (for me at least) lacking with the Compact - lack of high end extension, and overall headroom. I cannot imagine this not being loud enough. And my ABM looks ace on top of it: So, there we go. I shall report back with a gig test report. Chris
19. Look at post 50 on this thread
20. Good one. All the above, plus.. Make sure the PA all works, and that you know how to set it up. I have lost count of the times I have been in a pub and have watched a band setting up. Clearly no-one knows anything about setting the PA up and working it properly and have treated the venue to howls of feedback and inappropriate levels. At least make sure someone knows what they are doing if you want to look slick and be asked back. And DONT BE TOO LOUD
21.
Hi people I take on board all the comments, and it's true I can come across as a tad surly from time to time, and it is inexcusable I agree There are a lot of time wasters and people who come to try gear, and then go and buy it cheaper on line. I do get a lot of people in like yourself billy, who say I've just come in for a look round, which is all well and fine, it's not a case of being deliberately unhelpful but if you had said, I've come to try the Wal i'm interested, then of course It's no problem at all. The bass does belong to a customer, and i did assure them that i would keep people trying it out to a minimum. To other people who have had a bad experience, all i can do is apologise, we are a small, busy operation and it's sometimes not easy to give people the time they deserve. alex
I've not been in, but I Like that reply. Honesty goes a long way. Well said that man.
22. Yay - welcome. It's good here. Enjoy
23. See ...there we go....excellent stuff
24. These all look awesome. Sadly beyond my reach though....massively overpaying on mortgage at the mo to get it shifted early. Then....who knows
25. Me too, they even advised me NOT to send my amp in for service, instead advising me to take it out of the sleeve and have a look inside for dust etc. I sent Guy a pic, and he said don't bother, looks brand new. Top folk.
