1. Well put.
Oh dear! This could get tedious. At the risk of repeating both myself and other posters on this thread:- The Rockschool pieces are not too easy to be Grade 8.... they ARE Grade 8. End of. Making a statement like this presupposes that you know something about what Grade 8 'should be' that those poor old muppets at Rockschool - who have, after all, only been doing this stuff for around 20 years - are not privy to. Perhaps you'd care to enlighten us. Better yet, maybe you should call Rockschool and tell them what it is they're doing wrong and how they can make their pieces more like proper Grade 8.
2. i'd go Rockschool. Job done.
3.
1. Rockschool Grade 8 is an internationally recognised qualification. If the bumph says Grade 8 then they should be fine. 2. Rockschool examiners are expecting you to put a lot of yourself into the performance at that level - it's not just the notes, it's your interpretation of them. If you want to show off pick a piece that has a good solo section and widdle away (in the style of the piece of course - a rock solo wouldn't get you many marks in a latin groove piece).
It's not easy to do well, sure it's not ABRSM classical level as written notes, but that is not the whole story of getting a good mark by any stretch of the imagination.
4. I know I've said it, but if you can find an EBS neo 212 give it a listen
5.
Not sure. It has the Blue LED's buy the look of it, so maybe. Mine went in a trade to Changles (if I recall)... Not sure of it moved on to here? I miss it, and the HD350. All my EBS stuff I miss! Lol
lol. I scored a neo 15 to go with the gear I got from you....awesome. I want a Fafner actually....but can't afford at the mo.
6.
Oh how I miss my Fafner. It's a lovely lovely amp.
is this your old one?
7. Oh Right ho, sorry. Hope you find anothe soon

9. Sorry but it says collect in person. I know you are annoyed but there we go..... Am I the only person for whom eBay is largely trouble free? None of my business but just sayin..,
10. Does this come with Uk power supply?
11. just checked the lomenzo demo out - looks good, and cheap.
12. I've been recommended the lomenzo actually so that is interesting
13. Hi all, OK, so I need some pointers on distortion . overdrive . fuzz. Basically I have always either relied on the drive on an amp, or gone for a BDDI in the past. However, my HD 350 needs some help to get the right sound, and I don't know where to start. About half our set requires a nice driven bass sound - think sounds ranging from Killers, through to a slightly more aggressive drive. Another great sound I need to get is like the Ash song Burn Baby Burn. So, what do I need to get these- recommend away please! Chris
14. Why is this still here?!!!
15. Super 12 is nice Love my EBS neo212 though. Best cab. Also like genz neo 212
16. Noooooooooo!!!!! That sounds too good! Bugger.
The head made my gig last night! Super tight midrange when required. Smooth top end (in that old Ampeg way). The 'Colour' control really brought out the Motown tones, especially with a touch of the Compressor, speaking of which, made the occasional slapped parts rich and 'spike'-free. Something I've had a problem with when using lightweight digital amps through my 12s. I recommend trying one on a gig asap! Sweet talk your local dealer into letting it out the shop over a weekend.
17. I'm getting GAS for one of these. Bloody hell.....
18. alright, tonight I am going to do a bit of A-B testing on my gig, and I expect to confirm that one or both of these will be going.....those who have Pm'd me and been in touch are will then hear from me as I decide what to do. Cheers Chris
19. Do you go through your bass rig with these?
20. Ah cool. I've got a referral in for the one a Carlton, just waiting for the call. It's nothing compared to your issues though
21. Which specialist physio mate? I could use a session
22.
Don't quit your other band. You'll need to fill your time when the singer is off doing solo stuff. And when the management decides the band isn't pretty enough or it's too expensive and they get a bunch of players for £30 a week you'll find you still need the other band. Keep your amp and get a Barefaced Compact or Big Baby. Get flight cases, your gear will need protecting from now on.
23. What's the date of this please. Might have just the thing.
