1. Hi Got someone having a look at it on Wednesday...so maybe, but I think it might have gone then....
2. That's it, I'm going back to one. Too much adverse bollocks around about ashdown gear, but Abm stuff is spot on. And for those who crave a micro head, the Abm 500 is neither large nor heavy.
3.
I want to get the pick sound but don't have a lot of money to spend. Do any of the pickenfakers come close to the original?
No.
4. bump. Offers? Its a great bass and in super condition, plays really nicely.
5.
How big are the 750mm ones then?!
236mm also I believe.
6. Also be aware that the 450mm ones are actually only 236mm long. Just a heads up.
7. Cheers mate,I know, but it needs a box and padding. No worries
8. can't get to any of these, sorry. Someone pick it up and bring it to Nottingham to me lol
9. lol yeah I see now, but on my iPhone the mobile app does not display sigs. Too far I reckon...
10.
Argh, I've been gassing for one of these for ages! Gonna have to wait until they start turning up second hand Truckstop
I've got one I don't use but it's too heavy to post.
11. bit of interest in these type bump..still both cabs available.
12. So, kind of a feeler, kind of more than that, but I might like to sell the SR4 you see in my avatar. I think it dates from around 2001. One noticeable headstock ding, that is pretty much it. Works 100%, fully functioning, very very nice bass... ...but I could do with the cash, and to be honest I and not bothered what I play really as long as it gets a nice classic useable tone - and I fancy a P bass again, and might just get a tony Butler sig model. Or something. So there we go. Music man hard case included (got some old sticker marks on it but otherwise great). In fact, here are some better pics. The bass is in Nottingham. Any trial welcome. Collection much preferred, but talk to me. Price, well, I could put £750 and then be bartered down, but if it goes it must be worth £700, so that is where we are at, £700 collected, or meet for fuel bla bla bla. Might trade - combo amp (Markbass, Ashdown, WHY - but must be gigable, not a practice amp), Ashdown head, cab - (BF, Ashdown but a light one, WHY), or a bass - P or J or WHY, but must be in VGC and with cash to me. Any queries, PM, I'm on here all the time, so I will get back quickly. Cheers Chris
13. in fact, I think I might get one. I'm going all simple and old school. And I need some cash, so might even sell the Stingray.....ooooo
14. Great live band, seen them many many times, from 1986, and beyond. Once from back/side stage. Mark unpronounceable is a fearsome player. Adamson - sad sad loss. That is all.
15. here is another - using my yamaha bbn4 modded with SD Basslines and a custom scratch plate
16. Here are a couple done 2 years ago ish
17. Buy this then he can buy my cabs bump
18. Up we go. Need to sell, downsizing a must. eBay next so let's keep these in the family.
19. IMO this is why stingrays just "work". Middy and unrefined on their own, brill in the live setting.
20. Used the 15 on its own last night and it sounded excellent - type bump. Both cabs still for sale
21. Excellent. Do experiment with the drive sounds from the head - they might render the valvedrive redundant. Makes me even more convinced to get another. I think alot of the negative ashdown talk is none sense.
22. Head now collected, tuner posted, cabs for sale still. Offers or trades for smaller stuff. Still considering a couple of options but I need to see some cash my way.
23. You will always got band members moaning about things onstage - I have never been in a band when it is not the case - usually the singer - well buy yourself some decent powered monitors or in ears as this is the equivalent of your "rig", or shut the f up... But I digress. Haha looking forward to tonight p typically terrible on stage sound. I shall be using my Neo 115 and GK Mb200 only. On a gramma pad. I shall sound righteous at least lol.
24. the band should sound like one big single instrument - imagine a set of shelves, with each instrument on a slightly different one. I know you probably know this anyway....but hey, if I am doing live sound boards, it is the approach I take.
