1.
..... so I could just be gassing for something I dont need.
LOL that is a comment that could be applied to a lot of us haha
2. Yep, used to own one. not bad at limited volume, but far from the best cab I have used. Very middl-y, not great low end extension. The ported 102 standard is MUCH better. I used to use my trv102 on its end and angled upwards, purely as a stage monitor, which to be fair it did its job as, but I have heard better. For the money I would not bother again. I used to be a string advocate of the MB cabs, but since trying others (Tecamp, Ashdown, Aguilar, Barefaced) I think they have a distinctive mid/wool sound, which some some but I do not. I have heard a LM3 into a BF Super 12 T and it was an excellent tone and volume. I would think a better alternative to the TRV102P would be a 210 form tecamp/TC, or a BF Midget, or any of the nice 112 cabs out there.
3. interesting. I am not going to rush anything (unlike me usually LOL). MY ABM works and does the job for me.
4. Folk keep mentioning the di? Surely good desks have pad and gain controls. Our Allen and Heath certainly does....
5. I am tempted to just buy a Terror 500 just to see what it is like........
6. Some ace replies here. I getting towards being sold on my Compact....this weekends gigs should tell for sure. At the end of the day I am a working musician, and just need gear that works and is easy to shift around. Headwise I am not so sure yet. My ABM is up for sale, but I am not desperate to see it go.....I would like to AB it with a LM3 and a few others ideally.
7. Sold him some George L cables etc. Top chap. I know him anyway, but don't hesitate to deal.
8. So, here it is now with pics. Ashdown ABM 500 EVO2 head. Mechanically it is 100% spot on with no issues whatsoever. I think it has only seen light use, since upon looking inside there is barely any dust or anything - it looks new internally! Externally the case is a bit scuffed in places, but nothing major, and the handle is a little split at one end, but it works fine and a replacement strap should be easy enough to source, should you wish to.... Amp in Nottingham. Any trial welcome. Pick up ideally, could talk about posting or meeting up.... Must be worth £300. Thanks. 9. Well, I don't need this any more. It's the standard Ashdown ABM 410 deal. Blue line drivers, adjustable tweeter, all works brilliantly and totally faut free. Cosmetically it is gigged- nicks in the tolex ets, and I have tried to show these in the pictures. When I got it in a trade deal I figured that through use this would happen anyway, and the most important thing is that it works. It is located in Nottingham, and I invite anyone to come and try it out. It sounds excellent. I can email a few more pics to anyone interested. I offer it for £180. Can't post it, but could meet someone within reason somewhere, or of course you are welcome to come and get it. Chris.
10. Well, finally back and able to post from my Mac, not my iPhone. Joy. Anyway, lets try and establish form out collective experience how the various members of the Littlemark family differ. We have: 500 watters LM3 LMtube LMRocker LM250 250 watter and 800watt fully digital: LM800 LMtube 800 Personally I have used LM3 and LM2 - great, big warm clean. No possibility of grit. And most folk seem to use and rave about these. However, I would be keen to know a bit about the ones with tubes, and indeed the rocker. Anyone got one and could chip in their honest thoughts? Chris
11. cool. Sorry for the thread hijack. Anyone used a Littlemark Rocker....actually, new thread alert...
12. What are the LM tube ones like? Can they do the classic MB clean, and also have the tube blended for a bit of grit?
13. I always liked the heads. very nice. Had many a happy gig with Littlemarks and BDDI's......BDDii? what is the plural lol?
14. Mobile web made 2 threads can a mod pl merge them?
15. Bloody mobile web posted topic twice can a mod please merge?
16. So, I'm sat outside my caravan in Cornwall musing over a few things. I am midway through a rig change which came about through a shift to drums seeing me sell some gear to free cash for drum stuff. However I am now bassing full time and want to put together my ideal rig. I am liking my new BF Compact so far, and a couple more gigs will likely see me sure. However, like alot of folk on here I have been through a few heads ( mainly markbass to be fair - lm 2 and 3, ta501 and f1) and I keep reading about the other new micro head options. And then we read about folk chopping and changing, or even singing the praises of a particular head only to see in their sig that they have moved on to something else. FS section sees a fairly regular set of amps cropping up ( shuttles, streamliner, tc heads etc) but not quite as many markbass, ashdown Abm and others. Maybe this should tell me something. I want a rig that I can forget about, that is loud, portable and versatile. So in all honestly who is truly happy with their rig having used it for a good while without feeling the need to change?

18.
In the Jan issue they tested the MarkBass F500 and found it to be pretty close to the advertised spec.
Lol not long sold my F1...
19. In fact.. Terror excepted, which of the other small heads give out the full proper watts?
20. It does not exactly inspire me to try one out to be honest. Dont like an over compressed tone. Who knows though - my Abm might do something similar for all I know...
21. In the final analysis the Ashdown may well be the head for me. I like it's depth and easy adjustability, but I keep getting drawn to the terror bass by great reviews, and previous good exp with their guitar stuff. Has anyone used both and thus feels able to do a comparison? Thanks Chris
