1. Can't add anything new to this thread but can certainly repeat what countless others have said. Complete gent, communication at every step of the way and bass in my hands next day exactly as described. Chuffed to bits, many thanks Tom.
 2. Thanks for the welcomes and the help guys.
Welcome Aboard If you are wandering about, stay away from the forest as I have heard they have a hoody running around stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.... Ok, I'll get me coat
I can just about handle Mr Hood, it's those 'Merrymen' you have to watch out for
 3. Alreet. Been lurking around here now for a couple of months and thought it was about time I got myself involved in some natter! Very (pleasantly) surprised to see so many fellow Nottinghamians around the place too. I'm a complete beginner in my mid twenties who just decided one day that I really wanted to learn a instrument and that I loved the low, deep tones of the bass. So picked up a cheap Westfield bass and amp off ebay a few months ago and have been trying to self teach myself with youtube videos and a couple of books (as well as the many fantastic threads on this forum!) After lots of looking around on here I'd like to get myself some lessons so was wondering if any of the people from Nottingham (or surrounding areas) knew of any good teachers in the south of the shire? Beeston, Chilwell, Long Eaton that kind of general area. That's where I'm based and I don't have my own transport (for now) which has ruled out a couple of fantastic looking teachers in other parts of Nottingham that are a pain in the arse to get to on bus's. Ta for making it through the wall of text and groove on!
