1. So is this the brand new issue that is newer than the one featured on the website?
2. Is this the current issue on the website about NAMM? Or a very new one, so new, the internet hasnt had time to update....
3.
.......... takes about fifteen minutes, is often done under local anaesthetic, works very well, and doesn't take long to recover from. In fact, keeping the fingers active is part of the recovery.............
HA
4. Lots of places. The problem is the search term. What you're looking for there is a 3pdt (3 pole, double throw) switch. Ebay has quite a few. 5. I came across this site http://www.tonetechluthiersupplies.co.uk/v....html?TreeId=12 Looks decent enough.
6. With that music, im sure the OP has the correct bas..... doesnt he?
7. Awesome man. Same question as above. Also, i love the bit in the middle of the first clip.
8.
Ew that stuff is about as sticky as spit (probably fine for this though). I use the dear Loctite stuff on everything (it's the luthier's best freind)... even then it's not a powerful as it used to be.
Yeh, but i dont have any real super strong needed applications for it. It is also too weak to keep my fingers glued together for long. About 10 minutes, and i can pry em apart.
9.
Using that 99p for 6 tubes stuff that you get in the bargain shops will break even easier.
Dam, thats what im using. And its 4 for £1 actually.
10.
When I got my US jazz S/H I noticed that there were a lot of scratches on the plate in an area below the G string, I don't know whether the previous owner played a lot of high register stuff and kept missing or what...I've had it about 4 or 5 years now and the plate looks exactly the same as when I got it so I know I've not personally contributed to it. I think I put more marks in wiping them down than actually using them.
You get that popping the G string. it happens on my basses a fair bit.
11. Alright. Typically, you got the A250k's for the pots. And a nice big orange cap at 0.047 micro farads. Id also recommend as a little mod, to put in a control bypass switch. It literally bypasses all the knobs, and puts the pickups signal straight to the jack. Because of the tone cap in the path, even when full off, its going to take a few highs. The mod gives a tad more high end, and is pretty cool. This is mine with the mod (the switch at the bottom)
12. How approximately? And do you have any pics of the eyelets? How close are they?
13. I like how the bridge bears a resemblance to another leo design....
14. Did it come without controls? Yeah 250k and a 0.047 drop cap. The orange.
15. Maybeit was something to do with the nitro finishes being easily scratched, then it became mainstream....
16. Im looking for some pickup eyelets And some (probably) 42 awg wire. Besides Stewmac in the USA, are there any local (UK) sources for these parts. I want to fashion my own pickups, and these would be the only things i can see having a problem getting hold of.
17. same thing happened on one of my basses. Turns out somehow it was only resting on 1 screw, so the other would screw its self upward and protrude above the saddle. I fixed it with a few drops of superglue. Also, i have a few saddles lying around if you want one free of charge. (Standard barrels)
18. Ritter do some weird stuff. I mean, im not even sure if this is a bass, i really cant tell
19. So does the "mouth breather" statement. I like him. He does some good stuff.
20. I got a custom scratchplate from aurora. It was good, but the material they used was weird, like made in layers, and it wasnt the best fit, although i did send them the body instead of an actual design. Works though. It was this scratchplate
21. Theres a rockschool? Does that mean wht i think it means?
22. Not really. I like a nice clean bass. Maybe a bit of overdrive now and then, and occasionally a frolic on an envelope filter. But i dont see the need unless you are doing something specific
