1. I hate you. This is my YOB bass, exact spec (2band eq, classic style) is amazing price and i live in liverpool dammit.!!!!
2. Try this http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showth...rip-master-this! I can go about 90 seconds.
3. Are you sure the pickups are active, and not just have a preamp? (if the pickups are active, there will be a power lead going from the battery to them)
4. Refret the neck, repaint and stick stuff in. and it would be pretty cool. Nice for £6 is for nothing but the bridge and tuners.
5.
clicky
6. Had this about 2 or so years now. I barely use it. So it may as well go to someone who could use it more than once every few months. It has a great range of sounds, but i prefer tone shaping through my amp, and i dont really use many effects. I will consider trade for pickups, active circuitry, or other effects, maybe even a bass body. If you can make me a reasonable offer, i will consider. Special offer: I will sell you this and this (http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=136386) for £110.
7. Well from the replies, it seems like uits mainly for constant string rotation. However, i think im going to go for a home made bone or brass nut. Thanks.
8. i bought this a few years ago, but hardly ever use it. maybe once a month or two for a quick go. So its best on its way to someone who would use it more frequently. The onyl real mark on it is where i put a setting i like on it with permanent marker. I wouldnt mind trading for some other effects pedals or pickups or active circuitry. I lost the box for it, and it didnt come with a power supply. I will accept a reasonable offer.
9. You mean active preamp with a passive bypass and maybe a tone control?
10. Well now you've shown it on here, and with it being so dam cool, im not sure that you have the option of saying no...
11. Im may be thinking of upgrading a few aspects of my main bass, and i saw an ad for these. Besides being made of brass, is the height adjustment bit useful? And are they any good on the whole compared to any other brass nut. or even bone. (i have an old dog bone that is the right size.)
12. Well. With new, you know there are no problems that could have arisen from previous owners messing with it (i.e, a fekked trussrod, broken stuff). But if you can get used from a reputable source, it comes preloaded with playing mojo so the instrument has lost the sterile aspect. That said, i have bought about 4 basses new. And sold 2 and modded the other 2.
13. Well, does anyone know where to get some cheap wood for a bass? Im considering an explorer bass build, but i need wood.
14. I asked CH guitars about a custom body, and he told me to email this guy. Ive no idea, but it never hurts to get a quote [email protected]
15. Cool. Ill have to give that a go when im free next week.
16. I have some rather large holes in my p bass from when i installed a 51 p type pickup in the neck. I used the sawdust and pva route, but its kinda crappy looking. And i plan on rerouting the pickup slots, and refinishing. Whats the best option for filling pickup sized holes in a bass, as well as an extender control cavity?
17. It may sound like a dumbass question, but by pickup cover you mean the pickup? At any rate, try a slightly larger screw.
18. Yeah, theres no underlying magnet Ill PM you my details as i await yours.
19. The one thing i do like on mine is that the neck is quite comfortable.
20. Im selling this on behalf of my friend. Its your typical starter bass combo amp. 3 band eq, cd, headphones etc. Its been used for 1 gig, and had a £40 service. Its available for pickup in the wirral area.
21. I paid £40 for mine. They're not collectibles (yet ) but if you can get a sound you like, its pretty good.
22. I have a KJB-1B (actually a KJP-1B. Sorry about the confusion) bass by kay Not bad basses. They made electric basses around the 1960's (i think they were made by teisco) and were primarily an upright bass manufacturer.
