    It’s not just rosewood, I had to apply for some kind of licence when I bought a Gibson sg from Texas, they said the dot markers on the neck were mother of pearl , even after proving they were synthetic I still got stung for the licence, about £100 .

    Years ago I was told by the cokeheaded guitarist.. “ it don’t effing matter if they can’t hear you out front, bass players are a waste of space”.. oh yea and that was my last gig with his band.

    Ric 4003s is my main bass at the mo, I take a US or Jap p bass with me also as it’s the law, left handed. my only amp set up is a Markbass Cmd 1x12 combo with an Aguilar 1x12 cab (heavy) sat underneath it, I’ve also been using a tech21 vt bass driver that I’ve decided that I don’t need anymore

    I’ve broke loads of em, not so much recently as my amp has lots of power so I don’t need to dig in so hard,I broke the E string on my mm Stingray, moved over to the A string and broke that as well, had to quickly swap over to my spare mid song as I was totally lost.. beat that then, 2 strings same gig, same bass, same song..
