1. Dave Swift is the man to ask, think he had a special end pin made
2. I love Acoustic Image combos, I'm on my 4th, which is a 2 channel Coda with removable head. As I play several gigs where I plug direct into P.A. or house bass amp I started taking the Clarus head to use as a pre amp, which means I ca have full control of my sound. It doesn't weigh much but it's too large to fit in a gig bag so I started looking at alternatives and ordered the Fishman Plat Pro. That didn't sound as good, in fact it was disappointing. Anyway, to cut a long story short I ordered a Clarus SL-R from Laurence at Acoustic Image U.K. I love it! It's tiny weeny, weighs next to nothing, has built in reverb etc (great for fretless or EUB), 600 watts but most of all sounds amazing. I've used it just as a pre-amp with my Eminence upright (Fishman Full Circle) & Rob Allen Mouse and have been very pleased with the results.
3. Link to my Epifani UL110's for sale These are nice with uprights and can enhance the sound of solid body EUB's http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1
4. Trade options Ibanez SR1206 or similar Nice fretless Acoustic Image Flex Pre-amp
5. How about a Headway strapped to the tailpiece? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Headway-EDB-2-EQ-box/dp/B00J6VRXRM
6. I've got 3 EUB's which you're welcome to have a look at. Yamaha SLB100, Clifton (made in Britain) and an Eminence. I'm using the Eminence mostly so could be persuaded to part with one of the others, if not both. The Yammy & Clifton are similar in that the have a solid body with removable body parts. Not sure if I can make it to the bass bash, if I can I'll bring them along again.

8. I've too many pickups and hardly playing upright nowadays so I'm offering some for sale. First up is possibly the holy grail, if not the most expensive (at 823€ inc tax new!) for £400 posted http://wilson-pickups.com/product/k4/ I haven't got the drill or reamer but they're available, or a luthier would fit it if you're nervous about drilling holes in your bridge!
9.
They're about £1700-2000, depending on the exchange rate and which options you choose.
They've gone up a bit current prices are Fixed neck 4 £2723 Fixed neck 5 £2962 R/N 4 £3183
10. Got one coming from Martin at S.M.A.R.T. Distribution Great service!
11. The E string tuner on my Eminence bass is slipping, I need to replace it a.s.a.p. Has anyone had to replace one before? There are some cheep lookalikes and some decent looking Grovers on Amazon, just wondered if anyone has a spare original?
12. I've got one of these and it sounds great, and it's easy to transport here's our own Hugh Brad demonstrating one https://youtu.be/4DFlTWfYF1A
13. This lady does ok with the Eminence https://youtu.be/QqtOOpir9vQ
14. The SLB100 is by far the best for balance due to the full length body and weight at the bottom end, the 200 is top heavy and does tend to spin if you don't get the adjustment right. The SLB200 has a thinner neck and slightly shorter string length. The Mo Clifton is somewhere in between the two for balance and playability. If you're anywhere near Harrogate you're welcome to compare my current trio, SLB 100, Mo Clifton & Eminence
15. If I hadn't just got mine back yesterday after selling it to a Basschatter 3 years ago I'd have snapped this up. Great portable basses! And Mike is a real nice guy :-) http://www.gelbass.com/bass/bass4rn.html
16. Zyex light sound amazing on my Stentor 1950. It also likes Kolstein Heritage and Spiro weichs I've got Zyex on 4 basses (inc 2 EUB's) and much prefer them to Evahs, Obligato etc
17. Had the pleasure of meeting Shaun and trying this bass on a gig this week. It's very nice, lightweight, no noticeable neck dive on a strap, although I played it sitting on a stool for about an hour. Very easy to get a happy sound. The flat wound strings are higher tension to the La Bella black nylons on my Rob Allen & Steinberger fretless basses but I soon got used to it. I think Shaun should hang on to it, but if he doesn't someone else should be very happy with it!
18. Just received a cab from Pete, my second purchase from him. Was just as described with next day delivery. Thanks Pete
19. Or was it that Mrs Bassace was in earshot and she hasn't noticed yet?
