They do look amazing, you're right, but at over 2.5 x times the price of the Fanes at £111 each x 4 ( £444 ) + £15 delivery = £459 ...ouch !
Only 2 chances of me buying those - fat chance and no chance

Two Faital Pro's would probably out perform 4 Fanes and save some weight
yes Ive found an old set, think the G has snappeed at the peg but we can probably tie a bit of string on and stick it with some chewing gum.
And maybe I could set about your bridge with the chainsaw again

As promised, as I can't attend the bash, a pic or two of my bow holder.
Those of you who are very astute will notice it looks remarkably like a curtain rod holder with the end bent over which you slide over your front pocket so the bow hangs to your side.

Great idea

Standard realist.

Mine's got a Full Circle so I might stick it in the car so we can compare them

I'm bringing my Eminence so bring the silent bass or the Clifton?

What pickup is on your Eminence Rev?

Keith, have you still got that gizmo that looks inside the bass body? I may have a bass bar 'issue' in my EUB.
[/quote]
Yes Roger' I'll bring it along
The Yamaha SLB 100 Silent Bass was designed for this purpose
http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/strings/silentbasses/slb-100/?mode=model
Or any EUB into an amp with headphone out. The Yamaha is prob the closest in feel to a real bass and has headphone out.
Looks like I can make it.
Not sure what to bring, anyone interested in Yamaha Silent Bass SLB100, Clifton EUB, Eminence R/N
I'll bring sound post setting tool, some Acoustic Image electrickery, some pickups and the Rob Allen Mouse (as requested)
A friend has lent me an Acoustic Image Flex pre amp
It's an amazing piece of kit, so far I've used it on 2 gigs into the p.a. without a bass amp.
Tonight i'm going to try it as a mixer for female vocals (with reverb) & piano into my Bose L1 Compact and use the Clarus SL-R with cab for my bass.
Will be quality sound & easy carry.
Looks like Dave's has an extended adjustable end pin
