1. Looks like the tuners have been replaced from the photo
2. I've found a couple of Aebersold tracks which are probably better than the irealb.
3. There's one in the irealb library, If you can't access it I could forward it to you. Do you want it minus bass? cheers Keith
4. Do it soon! I had a bridge bending upwards (recently fitted by Turners Violins ) and it snapped on a gig just before we started. Luckily I'd taken my Jazz bass along which got me through the night. Since that experience I ALWAYS take a bass guitar along as back up.
5. Cheap as chips!
6. I've been wanting Logic Studio 9 for Lion (£417) or Logic Express (£166) Today I just found Logic 9 App for £139.99 on the App store Got it, what a bargain! I'll use it more for score editing than recording my next album, but apart from all the other reasons I think it's worth buying a mac just to get this amazing software. Mac mini + Logic 9 app less than £700
7. Thanks Floyd but I don't really have any use for 5 strings anymore.
8. Maybe
9. Come and have another plonk on mine anytime Geoff.
10.
Hi Keith, the SD Antiquity would be a very replacement as a whole PUP, I doubt you could successfully use one half with your existing PUP is that's what you're suggesting? Chris
Chris, the bass has an early 70's in at the mo' which sounds great but on second thoughts I should get the original fixed, which has been waiting for about 20 years! Hope it's what doctorbass is after
11.
They sort of defy their name really. I nearly sprung for a set thinking they would be easy for pizz which is all I do. Against my nature of holding on to everything I have a set of Evah weichs about 8-9 months old. Played regularly but not worn out. Sell or swap.
Might be up for trying those on my NXT, let me see what I can tempt you with
12. Great idea Rev, although I've just passed on a bag of strings I'll see what I've got left. I've got a nearly new set of Helicore pizzicato cut for a N.S. I'd like to swap for some Helicore orchestral or Innovation Honey orchestral braided core.
13. Hi Chris, one half of my 62p pick up needs a rewind, would your one for sale be a good replacement? I'll take it if you think it'l be ok cheers Keith
14. Maybe you need a silent bass
15. P.m.'d
16. Thanks 09 That's useful info Does anyone have experience of Innovation on a Steiny?
17.
there's a guy on TB who I've discovered recommends the TH500 for upright bass. So I'm going to give that a try
Let me know how you get on with it
And Keith ... I feel sure there will be more trades at some point! If I ever get flush again, I keep casting envious eyes on your fretless 5er Wal!
Might swap for a Kolstein or two
18.
Actually, I am going to keep the Wizzy 12 that was for sale (sorry Keith!) and run my Aguilar head through that. Means no outlay at all for me
That's ok Clarky, I didn't really need it, I just haven't bought anything from you for a while
19. Oh dear, there's one here with Clarky's name on it
20.
I might be up for the dizzy 12
Did I really type dizzy!
21. I might be up for the dizzy 12 if you decide to split but I understand if you don't want to post it
22. It's probably been covered before but I've just acquired a NXT and I need to find the best string for DB like sound without too much sustain, that will fit on the slim tuner pegs. I previously owned a CR4 and as far as I can remember the closest I got was Obligato but I know strings have moved on since then. I might have some Evah's which might do the job. Any suggestions guys & gals?
