Agree with you @paul_5 - also don’t forget washers mean you can drill 1-2mm up to give you some wiggle room.

That’s a lot of sockets! my method is to print the drill points on paper, then prit stick it to the enclosure and centre punch through the paper

For many years now my main bass has been this Sadowsky metro will lee - it's a bit of a unicorn in that it doesn't really sound like other Sadowsky I have tried and I love it. However if you took all my basses away from me and told me I could only buy one - it would be a precision and I went on a long search for what I wanted... and now have this Jazz and a Precision. I seriously seriously suggest buying a P bass of some kind - don't devalue or take away from what the Sadowsky is doing - it does its thing and it does it well. A P bass is a different thing, and in my book at least is better with a vintage bridge and passive electronics .... A passive Sire P bass can sometimes be found for not much more than the cost of switching the pickups pickguard etc and paying for someone to rout your bass and install for you.

for a business venture, I'm not sure how far away from the fender neck pocket would make sense commercially. We all know that the graphite necked stingray is probably way cooler - but sales numbers! I've no idea about wood vs PEEK - I personally would go for peek as in my mind a manufacturer who uses synthetic materials to make necks make sense, where if I wanted wood I'ld get all wood - I guess it's how it feels, if PEEK/Bakerlight feels good it is good.

Practice! No expert but I found rethinking hand placement helped - so getting used to he low E on the B string. also testing it with the PA - I found that for some weeks the extra low end wasn’t that useful - but the extra notes within easy reach were still

I think if you see this screen and get excited by the possibilities then the FI4 is for you if that fills you with fear and dread - the Mxr is for you! (if that looks a bit dumbed down and simple - ignore us all and get back to your Zoia …)

I sold a few pedals last week and realised I had the ££ - so was very much asking myself if I wanted one of these and jump on the “new thing hype wagon” - eventually decided I didn’t need synth sounds but if I did the FI4 Quatschmacher is selling would be better bang for buck (more in-depth vs harder to programme) edit - it’s sold, there’s a FI4 vip too in the for sale

Interesting, I think our pedals must sound different- I used the PedalPCB schematic. it depends on input signal but mine is distortion with gain below 12oclock and then gets increasingly wave folded as you turn it up. The mix for me lets me blend between wave folded madness and a cleaner signal - it’s gone through a preamp stage which has its own colour but running it with a clean blend in the loop of my hx stomp the effect isn’t much different at all. I had smd resistors, ceramic caps and the diodes in the diode ladder - saved ages soldering!
