In my hunt I found that there seemed to be high end professional headphones (studio/radio etc) ... and then the much more expensive prosumer market. And some of them favoured in both. Kinda like the good precision bass or the Ritter for recording your next record. Obv different reasons people are buying them

There’s two things going on there though - one is a p will sit in a mix a lot easier - so without much eq on the recording will probably sound nicer. the second is if you’ve been chasing the idea of the bass you want rather than the sound. A few years ago I had 100% active thru necks, my main bass with a cool ACG preamp. All good till I took a punt on a bass I had been recommended “buy if you find one” by a flat mate years ago. Roll forward 2 years and most my basses are bolt on basses with a fender type sound. Maybe the idea of the stunning graphite and sparkle finish flea bass is better than the actual sounds you want to make with it

you know if you sell them and just use whatever one you’re thinking of that in six months or a year you’re going to want to buy more basses again?

For recording I've taken a wire, wound it around a part of the bridge so it stays fixed. I've then taped it to my upper arm with electrical tape. Not the most elegant solution but it worked!

...Or not bother and buy a barefaced/Mesa or another brand who actually give you specs you are asking for. It’s not like there’s any special sauce in trickfish (or any other brand) that makes them stand out miles above the competition...

The editor makes things way way easier To set up. you can do things like copy individual blocks from one patch to another too. (You May be able to do this on the unit but I haven’t worked out how)

Odd question - how does the audience hear the stereo? Do you run a cab on each side of the stage?

as Dave said yes... and you can also program it to change other things at the same time. One switch to turn on the super ego, turn off a reverb and boost the highs in an amp model... or whatever you want to do... it's crazy powerful

To be fair they probably don’t want some negative forum pile on. I don’t blame them. their site has the same “marketing” engineering schtick that so so many manufacturers have - the only difference between Bite guitars and AN other is they seem to have a massive lack of graphic and product design aesthetics when it comes to the one bit they have varied from Leo’s designs...

To be fair cement mortar instread of lime mortar is pretty poor. I can walk around our village and you can tell the walls where someone has used cement mortar in the past as the stone has all blown out instead of the mortar eroding!

Back in the day I used to run the tone on my bass wide open and cut any treble on the amp. I was playing supporting an acoustic singer songwriter at a miners club - chilled acoustic music, me playing fairly busy lines but with a fat Motown sound Keeping way out the way of the singer and his guitar. while playing kinda got the fact that the gig Was going ok, my playing was good but it didn’t seem to hang together like it should. later in the toilet I’m complimented on my playing and the jam, stranglers and clash influences on our band... turns out the sound guy had decided I was playing punk

Also own a metro WL which is an amazing amazing instrument. (Except mine isn’t sunburst)
