1. This reminds me of those classic car barn finds where they turn some rusty old heap of sh*te into a gleaming image of perfection...........but then again, maybe this one just isn't worth it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trace-Elliot-head-and-cab-/251704756849?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
2. Blimey Chris, have you found a Wal or something?............This is lush
3. I too have one of these, albeit broken at the moment, but I remember reading a post here about someone modding theirs by turning it around 180 degrees. He slid the amp out and turned it to face the opposite way, then took off the rear panel, flipped the speaker around and made a new panel/grill for what was the rear but became the front. The "bicycle rack" porting became a rear port and it apparently worked much better
4. I was at that Hammersmith gig! Great playing !
5. When's the album out ?.................great stuff !
6. I think it would be better value to look for a used small/medium compressor and use an in line moisture trap. Guns can be had pretty cheap too, get a couple, one for paint and one for lacquer
7. Nice looking bass, I have a Milan 4 bass, good luck selling this one
8. A Hugo Boss shoe bag.......just the right size for my needs
9.
Posted Yesterday, 12:26 PM I just spent the morning finishing off the Stingray body, making sure all the dimensions were correct, neatening it up and adding the stomach contour and control cavity route etc. Just rendered it, and I know the body shape is a little off, but I kind of like it! It's not going to have a pickguard by the way, and the control cavity, as you can see, is rear route. So it's not really a traditional stingray. In fact I'm tempted to have another fiddle with the body shape and make it more sterling-y. My old Wal

I often wonder what became of my old Wal too, maybe it's a Wal thing! Mine was a Birdseye Maple unlined fretless, about the same period, in one of those funky brown cases. Traded it for a Strat and a Vox amp at a shop in Sunderland just before I left home.....only thing I REALLY regret in life, but there you go!
11. It might help when you're sanding to make chalk or pencil marks on the fingerboard, then if they rub off evenly, you can tell that you're sanding evenly Good luck Harry
12. Now why isn't someone offering aftermarket necks like that ?
13. This is a great thread to follow, if you haven't used truoil before, you can find a lot of useful info on the TDPRI site, including how to do the "slurry" grain filling technique. Also, it seems the rags you use can spontaneously combust, so be careful of you do it indoors Best of luck Harry
14. Can't comment on those, but I have a gorgeous Warmoth Birdseye Maple/ rosewood guitar neck with a compound radius. I think they work out about the same price and offer loads of options, great quality
15. This is great to see, such careful work, more posts and details please
16. This is gonna look mint, love a nice bit of Redwood
17. Nice one Gadge I like the styling of the New York bass, it looks like something Manni would play I also like the look of this one, although it seems a bit optimistically priced I could see myself in a nice little Faces tribute band with this cheeky little monkey http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Patrick-J-Eggle-Discus-Bass-Very-rare-/171385311342?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item27e75c506e
18. I have a Milan bass and the serial number on the back of the headstock is M4 9-93-131.............the 93 part is the year of manufacture, but you mention removing a scratchplate so I'm assuming you don't have a Milan, maybe a New York? You could try joining this forum and asking http://patrickeggleguitars.org/smf/ good luck, and show us some pictures!
19. This sounds very poor, good luck with your dispute
20. This is looking fantastic
