  2. I got a 5 string compensated nut from them no bother, on the other hand, I ordered a pair of the replacement bridge allen studs last June and they haven't arrived yet! I was shirtily told they're on back order from USA, apparently, when I dared to try and chivvy them up a bit ! Good luck MarshalBTB !
  3. Like him or not, he was a wit and a music fan Had cancer apparently, more very sad news
  4. This looks awesome! I've always fancied having a go at one of those kits that Martin do, but not worked up the courage to have a go. Maybe one day! Good luck with this one

  7. Moderators ( or anyone else who may be able to help ) I have been PM'd with a request to change the title to "David Bowie RIP" as being more fitting, which of course is fine by me, but I'm not sure how to do it, bear in mind also, that I'm at work on my phone at the moment Thanks in advance
  8. It seems he's been fighting cancer for the past 18 months
  9. His own son and publicist on Sky news, seems to be genuine I'm afraid
  10. God rest him, very very sad, he always seemed to be a very gentle soul
  11. Mmmmn, they do sound good, but about an hours drive away from here unfortunately
  12. This is stunning work Jabba Have you considered Lumilay for the side dots? I just got some for a 5 string neck I'm starting on and it looks great, works a treat and came very quickly direct from Japan, which is more than I can say for the UK Musicman parts supplier!
  13. Any users, past or present, who can tell me if the Supersynth pedal has a blend facility to adjust the ratio between effect level and dry signal I don't think it has a blend pot on the pedal itself, but is it possible to edit and save the presets having adjusted the dry to effected ratio or level? I like the edit-ability, and would be quite happy tweaking sounds on a pc, but for me, I would like to tone them down a bit to make them more useable in a band setting , and less gimicky if you know what I mean? Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas to one and all !
  14. +1 for the Dylan song, love th video too Also love Boney M......camp as Christmas
  15. I'll get some of those Andy, cheers
  16. Are you grain filling before applying the Danish oil? With finishes such as Tru-oil, some prefer to fill using the "slurry method" (there are lots of tutorials out there) but basically you finish sand with sand paper/wet and dry which is lubricated with the oil, which then forms a slurry with the fine dust and grain fills as you go. Also, I've found it tricky finding truly lint free cloths if you are doing a rub on finish, and you end up with one or two tiny fibres in your hard earned finish, which you know are there! So I tried using coffee filter papers which you can wear like a little mitten and it works quite well and doesn't drop any fibres God luck Harry
  17. Be careful dealing with Gear4Music though , they sell off an awful lot of (very) damaged stock on ebay They seem to be a bit cackhanded with their stock
