Thanks to Keith - I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I feel I need to get myself a grown-up bass now - my Musicmaster felt very small after trying all the great basses there. Happy to help out next year. Highlight for me was Michael's Promethean.

I have a DHA tube compressor. Personally I don't like it but then I haven't found any compressor I like yet. I work in Leeds. PM me if you'd like to try it.

After a robust exchange of views with Swmbo it turns out I don't need another Musicmaster. Good luck with the sale - there's a queue formed so it shouldn't take long to sell.

Another fan here. Great part and a great sound. I've never tried to play it. The tricky bit (not sure if its the second part of the verse or the first part of the chorus - you know which bit I mean) sounds very Jamerson-like to me.
Oh What a Night is another great bass line with a killer ascending run at the end of the middle 8.
Listening to them both on the bus now.

Me too. Just ordered a Compact to use as an extension cab for my GK 700RB 115, until I get a new head.
I bought a fuzz pedal from Steve. Arrived safely packed, communications were good, sounds as nasty as a nasty thing...perfect! You can deal with Steve with confidence.

I'm a big fan of the earlier stuff - what a great band they were! Stepping Out is good too. He is a very talented writer and performer but for me, the combination of him and the original band is unbeatable.

Can I ask how old this is, and how recently you've used it for recording?
Cheers,
