1. Bought a lovely Lakland Bob Glaub from Paul. Excellent transaction and Paul was happy to arrange a mutually convenient meet up for me to collect the bass. I would have no issues with dealing with him again. Cheers
2. Just completed a trade with Dave and am now in receipt of a lovely RoadWorn Jazz. I'm a very happy bunny. Dave was excellent to deal with and the bass arrived very well packed. Highly recommended. Cheers, Pete
3. I'm an average sax player and play mainly tenor and bari sax in the function band. I originally learnt on clarinet and then moved onto alto sax. I have played soprano and agree with the other posts that it seems more difficult to keep good intonation on soprano than the other saxes. Generally I would advise against 'cheap chinese' instruments and go for a Yamaha student level instrument, the advantage being that if you don't get on with it but look after the instrument there will be a much bigger second hand market available. Generally the Yamaha's are consistently good instruments. TBH I'd probably still start with an alto as my first sax and then once you have a good embouchure you can pretty much play any size sax.
4. Just taken delivery of Pete's Lakland Duck Dunn which arrived superbly packaged and is in absolutley fantastic condition. Very easy transaction with excellent communications. Highly recommended basschatter. Cheers Pete
5. Greg bought my remaining Aggie GS112. Seemed like a really nice guy, deal done with no problem and received a quick DB intro lesson into the bargain! Greg, I'll be in touch after the show finishes at Easter to set up a bunch of lessons. Cheers Pete
6. Stuee bought my SA450 on behalf of a mate of his and was great to do business with. Good comms and prompt payment. What more could you ask for? That's a beer I owe you Stuee if we ever meet up :-) Cheers Pete
7.
Also, I had a 102p traveller until last weekend when I pretty much promised to sell it to another bass player locally. If the sale of the 102p falls through I'll let you know.
Sure, let me know if the 102p becomes available. I'm not averse for meeting up half way if it suits both parties. Pete

10. Hi Guys Aguilar GS112 now SOLD, thanks. This cab is in excellent condition, with just a couple of scuffs on the plastic corner protectors as expected through normal use. It's 8 Ohm with the tweeter and comes with a home made leatherette cover to provide protection from the rain etc. Pictures are available at: https://www.dropbox....12%202?h=9b5dae I would like £240 for the cab please. I'm based in north Bristol so collection preferred or meet up within an hours drive. Trade options (with some additional cash from me), either a MarkBass Traveller 102P (to go with my recently aquired Traveller 151P) or EBS Neo 112. Cheers Pete
11. Leighton bought one of my Aggie GS112's. Nice easy transaction and very kindly agreed to meet halfway to complete the exchange. Thoroughly recommended! Cheers Pete
12. Just bought a Thomann 22 upright bass from Dan, who was an absolute gent and was happy to meet me on his day off to effect the exchange. Bass seems lovely. I just need to learn how to play it now Cheers Pete
13. Hi If you decide to go for a straight sale I may be interested in the 102P. Collection not an issue as I'm in Bristol. Cheers Pete
14.
Not so sure the link works.....
Sorry all. link now corrected and appears to work ok? Also listed below for convenience. http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/15432619/1/SA450?h=28a7f1
15. Right, bump for the weekend and a price drop. Come on people this is a great amp at a great price. If no interest at this price then I'll just hang onto it.
16. Thanks for your words Dave, yes I'm completely sold on MarkBass amps but I currently own three which is possibly a bit excessive.
