1.
I think there should be a minimum post count to sell, I can then sell things for newbies at a 15% commission.
It's comments like that that keep me going......
2.
Off to play it... Again! Totalling about 20 hours of playing since it arrived on monday
You actually play it? Perhaps I should put the laptop down and have a go at that myself! Just jealous
3. Sadly, even though I have for such a pick, I cannot use one. I actually have a collection of these wonderful devices. All pristine condition.
4. I like carpet..... runs and hides It won't make a difference but I personally like the look.
5. This is the exact reason why I only buy shiney new basses
6.
Need to see some pics though
It doesn't exist without pictures
7. Do you have a multi meter to check ground continuity? Sounds like either a missing earth or a wire in the wrong place. Maybe post a few pictures?
8. I too am interested on hearing how you get on with it
9. My bass sits at waist height but points up at around 30 degrees from level.

11. I still remember my first gig on guitar 30 years ago! My first bass gig was more recent but still memorable! Let us know how it went
12.
Well quite! Especially as if one is feeling lazy and doesn't need the exercise there is a perfectly serviceable C on the 3rd fret of the A string, conveniently positioned under the G on the E string. No need for any of this fancy 'up the dusty end' playing needed there.
Just made an otherwise rubbish day into a mutley laughing one!
13. I tried a 5 string but failed to get to grips with it. I have a drop 'D' thingy on the paddle so I'm sorted Also, they are too heavy for me I nearly bought another one but the paddle saved me!
14. Multi Effects are the way to go. Buy second hand and then move it on once you know where you are going! I only use chorus with my fretless and nothing on the others but if I did go that route I would buy a floor POD. I had a blast though Silddix's one and it was fun!
15.
Some people above saying headless bass is the answer. I was thinking short scale would be better, any opinions on that?
I have both and the headless (Hohner paddle) is better (IMHO) as it doesn't have any overhang. The short scale (Violin Bass) is quite tiny but still has the headstock ready to get bashed!
16. No worries. You have to try If I had the money I would buy it from you.
17. How about two basses? The fretless and the viola in my signature plus one hard case.

19. When the Queens Head in Aylesbury was music venue, I played there several times. The stage was not a bad size. The pool table and various benches etc took most of it however Oh and the two huge pillars!..... and the ceiling was very low I put the headstock of my Les Paul (guitar) into it and broke a chunk off. I bought a cheap copy to play there on future gigs!
20. Now I have a headless bass....... bring on the tiny venues
21. The Green Man in Aylesbury. You set up by the bar. Punters walking by and any dancing is done right in your face. Great atmosphere but flippin' cramped!!!
22. I was born in Royal Leamington Spa, famous for it's spa waters! In 1978 I was caught up in the famous town hall riot..... but that's about it
23. That is one sweet looking bass Thanks for the advice on converting the file to mp3 (for us lowly IE users). Sounds really mellow and laid back. Superb!
24. Fantastic looking bass! I love Jazz basses (I have 2!). Enjoy it - I trust you will be sat by the door waiting for the post man
25. I got my job because I play bass and the MD likes Mark King! Good job I had heard of him
