  1. But the Anti Nowhere League played Yugoslavia?
  2. My Spector 5 Forte had an OBP3 fitted from the factory. When I got it I thought it meh because it was a departure from my usual sound. I’d read stuff on TB about the SNC which is a clone of the Spector 18v. I ordered one and had it put in. It was ok, but lacked the uniqueness of the Aq, which I’d not appreciated at the time. So I’m getting the OBP3 put back in. Damn you internet!
  3. OK Paul, how? Because I've emailed him on numerous occasions with no reply. I even asked you for help when you posted here that you were selling a bass that was going to be checked by him. I had given up because I thought he had ceased trading, and your sale was the first that I'd been aware he was still going. And I don't accept that I'm being the bad man here. I tried phoning, emailing, speaking to members here via PM and sending a friend to his house. Short of legal action this is my last option. Also, I have to add that it's easy to have an opinion, but I (and others) lost money and time. As it happens, because of this there has now been contact, but it's been a long time coming. We'll see what transpires.
  4. If Howard has communicated with me and been honest then it could’ve been dealt with. I’d heard he’d gone through a rough patch, but I was always waiting for the email that said ‘hi, sorry, let’s sort this out’ but that never happened. I’ve heard he’s active on FB and running his business, so with that in mind I’d like him to settle and draw a line under it. I’m not on FB, but I hope others who are might pass this onto him.
  5. Please have a read of this thread and hope this makes sense... I've been having a long think about this whole build experience. I was very upset with The Bass Doc (Howard). He took my money with a smile and promised me that work would be done. After a while his comms stopped and no explanation was given. The last I heard was he was experimenting with different finishes and that an arm cut was done. For those of you not aware, after months of getting no response from emails my friend went over and doorstepped him. The bass was thrust back and looked like it had been stored in a damp garage, with water running out from the pups and cavities. After it was sent to John at Noiseworks it was clear that no attempt had been made to apply a finish and the arm cut was not done. I feel like he has stolen my money. treated my property appallingly and kept it to the point that it almost had to be forcibly collected. I do not know what I did to be treated so badly. I heard on the grapevine that Howard had suffered some kind of breakdown and at the time because of this I did not pursue the matter further. However, it's now become clear that Howard has carried on working in the North East and is currently taking in work. To that end I wonder if any BC'ers are using him in the North East? I want him to do the right thing and make good with what he owes me. Is there anyone who can get a message to him, as he does not respond to my emails. I'd rather someone could talk to him and we'll sort this out, otherwise I'll have to pursue legal action?
  6. MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe. VGC, pristine, unmarked and in box. £110 posted.
  7. I’ve got a Marshall Super Bass and I contacted Marshal direct about mine. They’ll tell you when it was built and by whom. They’ll tell you what potential issues could be and sort them for you (if you were in the UK).
  8. Phwoor! Nowt wrong with blue. I can’t get moved for red. Love a bit of blue of green
  9. If Michael Jackson was a fat balding lorry driver from Macclesfield no one would consider that a him sleeping with kids was normal, regardless of what may or may not happened.
  10. I met Mandy Smith in the late '90's. She was absolutely stunning. She looked way better than any picture in the press I'd and she was lovely to talk too to boot. I also saw Gary Glitter live at Newcastle City Hall in '87 and have to say it was one of the most entertaining gigs I've been to. The band were monumental, especially with two drummists. Glitter brought the whole show and it was great. Bizarrely enough there were skinhead girls down the front throwing roses at him! ....Oh well
  11. But Jimmy Saville was never tried and convicted and it’s generally accepted he’s history’s greatest monster.
  12. That's no problem Leese. Please let us know what the arrangements are and hopefully a BC contingent will be there to pay their respects.
  13. So sorry to read this. He was the first person that said hello to me on my first SE Bash and was super friendly from then on. I’d not known he’d been ill. So very sad to read this, he was a lovely lovely man.
  14. For all intents and purposes BNIB (but it's not, but it might as well be) unmarked pedal with box-candy .. even the sticker!
