  1. I made a template for some EMG TBCS pickups using 2 inch wide stripes of 19mm MDF. I used the correct size router bit to get the corner radius I needed. I got the MDF from eBay, it was a set of cut lengths from the craft section. I arranged the pieces around the pickup with a credit card along one long and one short side to give clearance in the routed cavity. I can't find any pics but this should explain how it is adjustable before glueing. Obviously the edges and corners need to be square.
  2. An unused tin of Warwick wax. £11.50 collected from DY13 area. It's too thick for a large letter so postage would be small parcel size, £3.20 with PayPal F&F, or £4 with regular PayPal to cover the fees.
  3. I emailed Clive a few years ago, he was very helpful, he even gave me the part number for the Series 6 EQ slider pots from memory. He also told me that he had binned all his TE drawings when he retired.
  4. I have a cardboard box from a bass case available, if anyone wants to collect it from a DY13 postcode.
  5. You can still use your onboard preamp, use the EMG volumes and connect the output into your preamp. I have active PJ EMGs connected to an Aguilar preamp in one of my Warwicks.
  6. I like the EMG JVX pickups, they are active but voiced differently to the standard active EMGs.
  7. I've been looking at envelope filters recently, have you considered the Q tron? It is available as a nano size, but the slightly bigger micro is cheaper.
  8. I play a Warwick Corvette, I have tried more traditional shaped basses but just never get on with them
  9. I would try emailing Fender customer services for an official answer. I recently purchased an Ashdown head from Germany. I contacted Ashdown and they said the head would be fine in the UK, but suggested a UK power lead rather than a plug adapter.
  10. Warwick basses in general and Corvettes in particular. The Corvette just fits me, I've tried more traditional body shapes but prefer the Corvette.
  11. That would look great airbrushed to look like a Klingon / Orc weapon. I really like it.
  12. I routed one of my Corvette basses to fit EMG TB size pickups, and made an adaptor plate with threaded inserts to mount the new pickups on(sorry, no pics)
  13. There is a movie called Edward Penis Hands, yes it is as bad as you think.
  14. I'm just checking if I can make it. Although I don't think my back is up to carrying my TE 2x10 down the stairs again this year. 🤣
  15. Thanks to @jebroad for organising the bash, and thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. It was my first bash but it won't be my last.
  16. I think the bass in the photo is the Artist model. Looking at the site, the Purist looks to be more like a Precision.
  17. You put forward a very strong argument, I guess I'll have to order one then.
  18. With the very tempting price of the RM800 EVO II, I'm struggling to find a reason not to buy one. Any suggestions?
  19. The tech that serviced my amp only recommends Servisol Super 10.
  20. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  21. I read that advert when searching for pics to base my template on. It looks excellent.
  22. It does include all materials, if you want specific things there may be additional cost.
  23. Thanks for the review. I'm hoping to go on the course soon, I'm not available on the date Jon previously offered me. It must be great to play a bass you made yourself from lumps of timber.
