  1. EMG show the rails as being 2.9 inches long with a maximum recommended string width of 2.5 inches.
  2. Super, thanks. I will try again.
  3. Was that recently and about the course?
  4. Thanks, I will try ringing him.
  5. Has anyone been in contact with Jon regarding the course recently? I emailed him just over a week ago and haven't had a reply yet.
  6. I mentioned this to my wife as an idea for my 50th this year, and she said she had thought of trying to find something like this for a present, so let's hope covid restrictions ease enough.
  7. My concern is it may be the start of a split. I could be wrong and if it stays as it is I'm not worried, I just wanted Thomann to be aware of it early on.
  8. If it was just a pot or tuner than £20 would be fine, but as it could be the neck £20 isn't going to cover it.
  9. I received a Harley Benton PB-50 for Christmas, and I'm really enjoying it. I have noticed what may be a small fault in the wood on the edge of the fretboard, so I emailed photos and my concerns to Thomann. Thomann responded that they were confident that it was not a problem, but they offered me a £20 goodwill discount. I asked if my warranty would be affected if I accepted the discount, just incase the fault got worse. Thomann confirmed that if I accepted the discount the warranty for the possible fault would be void. I have declined the discount in favour of keeping my full warranty. This post isn't to have a go at Thomann or Harley Benton products, its just a heads up that if you accept a discount you may be losing part of your warranty.
  10. Thank you Neil, I'm looking forward to giving these a bash.
  11. This is getting recycled tomorrow so message tonight if you want it.
  12. Give it away by RHCP. I think it would be good to explain why certain notes are used, eg root, octave, 5th etc. I wish that had been explained to me when I started playing.
  13. The bass is too early to check on the Warwick site, the serial number checker only starts from 2000. From the serial number it was built in October 1996.
  14. Do you have the serial number to check on the Warwick site?
  15. Corvettes with EMGs are great, imho obviously. Is this Bubinga? GLWTS
  16. I've been trying to think of a reason to keep it but haven't come up with one. This one is in the hall, but getting in the way. Shame to bin it though.
  17. I have a large box that a bass from Thomann was delivered in. If anyone wants to collect it from Stourport on Severn they can have it.
  18. Nearly a tenner postage too!
  19. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  20. Are you using a new set of strings, as they will have more tension then a used set detuned.
  21. I try to learn songs note for note, but I probably don't always get it right.
  22. I use 55-110 and occasionally tune to C#, they are a little floppy but manageable. If I was recording I would set up the bass to the tuning.
  23. I have a Rock Bass brochure with these in, I guess it would be 2012. I also remember one on these on the Warwick stand at The LBGS, it was for sale and I wish I'd bought it.
