1. The cliched setlist makes me shudder a little but not as much as the thought of seeing it played badly. I can listen to anything if it's played well by decent musos. sh*t played sh*t is a no-no. sh*t played well and I'm interested.
2. I understand what Enrico is saying perfectly.
3. Just like those natty medleys they string together for the X Factor inmates each week :-\
4. So its tipping it down outside and this really lifted me. Great hearing a version of this number that is loyal to the original but not a slave to it- played on a fretted, maple necked P Bass with flats for starters. Lovely interplay, good vibe going on. Totally sympathetic playing- sublime keys sound and solo. Drums are just THERE and what a smile (I think I prefer it without the octave pedal) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s-f7dIc2jg&feature=g-all-lik
5.
Loud as your ever going to need...... .........I've gone and bought the bigger RH750 version in a fit of GAS.
Hahahaha. Classic GAS. +1 for a great little amp.
6.
....I figure that, if I want it to sound better, I should practice more.
Brilliant.
7. Have a look at ForScore too- I use it all the time. Then add these (with a mic stand) and you're off. http://airturn.com/ http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_19712_ipad_halterung.htm?sid=a0f9589b31a70d9b63d043cb172beeef
8. Who plays higher than the 5th fret anyway? *dinosaur noise*
9. There are actually 4 Jaco basses. The three mentioned above and the "Bass of Doom"
10. It's pace and structure remind me a little of the solo on Everything is Everything.
11. Hope you don't mind me pointing out that you have the Lakland p'ups on there to compliment the LH3 pre.
12.
I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. A couple of people think it was Dolly Parton simply because she sang it earlier and better and with more conviction. Oh, and wrote it.
13. Seems this vocalist is a chap called Ryan Molloy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Molloy
14. Pleasure Dome had some great moments. Man what an 80s blast. Slave to the Rhythm is sublime too- such a great album. Watching the vid above I didn't realise FGTH's bass player was as accomplished as this- that's some pretty tidy pick playing there.
15. The Eden has a great tone esp if u already like the Markbass.
16. Funny, I have a WT400 and 550 and have just bought an RH450.
17. I've always found the setups done at The Gallery to be fantastic. I haven't always gone there for my setups due to the round trip from Somerset but the fact I've had most setups done there speaks volumes.
18. Some are great, some are terrible. Same as everything in life.
19. Bilbo has it right there. Would add 4am as a single download.
20. +1 for Bright Size Life. Pre-hype Jaco- something special about that album. A kind of before-they-were famous recording, Metheny included.
