1.
yeah i suppose. slap just doesn't do it for me when played on a 6-string acoustic.
I normally agree, however further into the video some of the chords and melodic bits work really well on the guitar! I was close to stopping the video, then I couldn't bring myself to
2.
hmm. i just see some fast percussion and the occasional chord/lick.
That's what slap is, aint it?
3. extended range basses are ridiculous sometimes! My Peavey weighs 19lbs and that's without any active electronics or a preamp to add to it! Feels perfectly fine to me though
4. It seems fine to me. I think the ambitious pricing is due to the seller not realising that upgrades generally don't increase the value of an instrument and in many cases decrease the desirability! He'd have been better off selling it stock and putting the pickups and bridge in seperate auctions
5.
Wot's G...?
+1 This is as far as my knowledge extends
6. I love the way they look! But always wondered what they are actually for
7. Someone doing something a bit different should totally be applauded for doing so! How else would we all have all these crazy techniques to steal?
8. Still loving my Markbass 4x10! Perfect sound, and anyone who says lightweight gear can't sound big needs to hear this thing in action! As far as lightweight cabs go, it's barely little in comparison to some of the examples on this thread! But if a wiry frame like mine can lift it over their head Hulk style, it's good enough for me! (Plus the look on people's faces never gets old )
9. I play stainless steel strings, fingerstyle. I try to look after them well by washing my hands before playing, using fast fret, and keeping my basses in a bag/case while not being used. I have managed to get them to last up to a year until they start to sound less desirable... and I like that fresh out of the pack sound!

What is it?

Nice socks... his foot is really creepy though
11. Guthrie Govan does some great 'slap guitar' stuff! very talented and also very tasteful and musical player
12. Fair dos mate Just bought Jamesemt's so I'm looking forward to giving it a go next week when it arrives!
13. MB1 showed interest in a Zoom B3 that was up for sale earlier, give him a PM if you're looking to sell
14.
Aah, mine is later in the chain, does this explain some of my fretless 'moments'?
Hmm, not sure if it would have actually affected the accuracy of the tuner. I just assumed it would take it longer to track. I guess you could try putting it first in the chain and see if it works better!
15. Everything here looks so damn delicious! New pedalboard picture from me coming in the next couple of weeks...
16. I'm afraid so dude!
17. Out of the three 6 string basses I've owned, the Peavey Grind is balanced the best by far. I guess it could be to do with the chunkier neck and the fact that a lot of 6ers have dual truss rods... But then again the Billy Sheehan Yamaha Attitude bass has ridiculous neck dive too! I've found that It's usually the basses that have the bridge very close to the bottom of the body that are less likely to have issues. Or you could just get a Peavey
18. Finally put an order into Anderton's for one of these bad boys. They're not in stock at the moment so I have a short wait... But... Excited!
19. Hey dude Most important point for me is that no matter how heavily you compress your signal, your tone will stay totally untouched. It tightens up the low end nicely too, without actually losIng any, it's a very nice effect! I keep it on all the time. Previous units I've tried have always darkened my tone a little bit, or rolled off the low end but not this one!
20. It's all about the TLC, it's the only piece of equipment I've never once considered changing!
21.
someone has wanted thread for one of these in the wanted forum
Yep, me! cheers buddy I'm PMing him now if I'm not too late
22. Not that daft, I don't know the answer either! I know you can with a Sansamp and stuff like that but have no idea about the line 6 or the zoom!
23. They're supposed to have a more P bass kind of tone due to the pickup placement, and I also read that they can be heavier than t40s. Still get a lot of love!
24. I've not spoken with anyone from the company but I have bought from them a lot, very impressed with their prices, speed of delivery, and packaging
25.
Yes, he's got it spot on. He's a good player, he's different and this is about the 50th time we've found ourselves talking about him. You can't buy publicity like this.
Nail -> head Ridiculously good player!
