1.
Its not a shop, its his house in Teignmouth! Give Mark a call and Im sure he'll be delighted to give you the address, a cup of tea will be on order, awesome stuff available!!!
Oh dear! Dangerously close to the route down to see my folks in Plymouth!
 2. Can't go wrong with a BB! Nice colour, too. Your nearest guitar shop will probably be giving boxes away....
 3.
http://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/ Not had any dealings personally but have heard he is a good chap to deal with.
Am I being dense or does the website not actually say where they are?
 4.
I've managed to narrow down my preference to the period between the mid 60s and early 90s...
5.
It depends if your bladder is full. I usually have a p before playing jazz, or any genre to be fair.
Niiice!
 6. Let's put it to a referendum...
 7. I have a BB and an SR, and they're chalk and cheese! Traditional style passive v modern style active - I would expect your preference to be quite marked if you played both...
 8.
. The last song, Watermelon in Easter Hay, is sublime Zappa guitar work, and is imagined by Joe as one last act before surrendering his musical soul. Profound.
You forgot what happens after he surrenders his musical soul... A Little Green Rosetta - dumb repetition of a jolly little phrase, which in context is a grim downbeat ending 😥 I don't quite remember where I started with Zappa. I love the band with George Duke and Tom Fowler - try the YCDTOSA volume subtitled The Helsinki Concert. The late 70s/80s stuff is great too - Sheik Yerbouti, You Are What You Is - and my favourite, "side two" of Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch. Dive in!
 9. I'm not a GB expert, but pretty much every "proper audio interface" has a headphone out, so your little one can sleep soundly.
 10.
was there a 'before' picture to compare?
This.... show us the "prelic"!
 11.
This. Absolutely this. It's not like there was an annual harvest which might be affected by an attack of woodworm or something ...
So basses are different from guitars, then....?
Here you go, Dad. Not wishing to disappoint, this is the most rock'n'roll veg pic that popped up on Google!
You want rock'n'roll veg?
 13. I have one (or it might be a '77... Fender dating is a bit vague). It's great but it is, like the one yorick played, heavy.
 14. But you could always replace it (in a TOTALLY uncontroversial manner ) with a Fender decal...
 15.
That neck could potentially be a bargain, if there was a fully loaded un-"modified" body attached to it.
16.
Maybe they mis-read it as Slapped Ass Jam. "Apply liberally" it says on the jar. Apparently...
Liberally? (One for our older readers...)
 17. Search for the isolated bass track on YouTube, that may help...
 18.
I can see why they banned that particular one. No swing in it.
If i click on the picture, I just get the next picture... of the guy with his shirt off
 19.
The net effect of doing this is likely to be rolling off the lows below the center frequency of the bass control (since your likely to be boosting everything else) so you might get the same effect from using some sort of HPF like the thumpinator.
Aren't bass and treble typically shelf EQs rather than filters? Which case boosting the bass would boost the ultra-low frequencies that a HPF would suppress. In mixing there's a definite cut-rather-than-boost consensus, but - issues of headroom aside - this is because cutting is less likely to impose a "flavour" on the tone: but if you like the flavour that boosting gives, then boost away!

 21. The bump from Zombie has reminded me to mention that the Nugen Audio AB Assist tool is now available in VST and AU formats (it was just AAX originally)... http://www.studio-one.expert/studio-one-blog//free-nugen-audio-ab-assist-plug-in-exclusively-from-the-production-expert-group To recap, as well as allow you to A/B-compare two sources, it also lets you X/Y-compare them - you can choose your preference without knowing which source is which. And it's free!
 22.
Hubris is always followed by Nemesis. Does that help at all?
And inevitably, Nemesis is followed - at some distance - by the horse I backed.
Ah I see.. As in " Look at that vocalist, He is exuding hubris?"
That's right, it's more of a vocalist/guitarist thing than a bass thing!
 23. I'm actually surprised that they found two hit songs that weren't written by the same team of 15 writers and producers... #oldcynic
 24. When I saw the headline about Ed Sheeran being sued, I was expecting it be by Marvin Gaye's estate over Thinking Out Loud, but no... http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/36486648/ed-sheeran-is-being-sued-for-20m-by-two-songwriters-over-his-track-photograph
 25.
Yeah, sorry for getting off topic. I agree, learn the treble clef.
That is evil!
