1.
Not if you are using Logic like the OP. Plugins need to be in AU format.
Ah, I missed the bit about using Logic... as you were
 2.
The Mac works in a completely different way. All audio plug-ins where they are effects or instruments need to be in AU format
Not so... AU is just one of several plugin formats that your DAW may or may not support. E.g. I use Studio One and Pro Tools: Studio One will work with AU and VST, while Pro Tools works with AAX.
An old drummer friend of mine could get his full kit in a Mini. Not the fat blob new one but an old Cooper. It's as if the car was designed around a bass drum, amazing thing.
Yep, my old drummer too. Bass drum on the passenger seat. Somehow we got a bass in a hard case, a medium-sized bass combo and me in there too!
 4. Well obviously the best music was made in the 70s. I was also a teenager in the 70s, but I'm sure those two facts are purely coincidental.
 5.
Ah, reminiscing was so much better back when... Who's going to be first to post the Monty Python sketch?? (cos comedy was so much better then...)
Funnily (!) enough I think Not The Nine O'Clock News has aged much better than Monty Python...
 6. Did someone say prog in (from) Yorkshire? York prog band Mostly Autumn invited to open for re-formed Rainbow at one-off comeback show http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/leisure/music/14497530.York_prog_band_Mostly_Autumn_invited_to_open_for_re_formed_Rainbow_at_one_off_comeback_show/?ref=fbshr

 8. This thread has reminded me, it's been a while since we heard anything from Lord Gaga...
 9.
Neither are Jagger and Bowie strangers to the hit parade, but by the criteria of this thread as it was the only hit from 'Bowie & Jagger' this qualifies:

Ruined a perfectly good song IMO...
I expect you'll prefer this version, then:
 10.
Seen one doing the rounds lately that I wanna see... "The worlds finest Elvis fronted Nirvana tribute act" https://www.facebook.../elvanatribute/
And how about Tragedy, an all-metal tribute to the Bee Gees? https://www.facebook.com/letsmaketragedyhappen/

 12.
I'm guessing it's this one? https://www.youtube....h?v=nEmESOsn5yQ
Sounds very nice - and that's a really good demo, with a variety of playing styles.

 15.
Nugen A|B Assist lets you do a blind comparison: http://www.nugenaudi...2c-001999c29f76, and it's free!

Melda Production have MCompare, which does much the same, for various OS and DAW's; there is also Magic AB, too
Ah, but as well as A/B comparison, this one can also do X/Y: you feed it your two sources, then it asks you to choose your preference without you knowing which one is which... clever stuff!
 16.
Personally speaking, I was expecting the results of each process to be more noticeable. I really struggled to tell the difference myself, and because I knew which track was which I needed some ‘impartial ears’ to make a more objective judgement. So a big thanks to you all for doing just that! 17. T2 for me too - it feels a little more "glued". I thought the brass and the voice seemed to be competing for the same space in both.
 18.
Tell him from me, next time you see him, his dad was a great darts player! ;-)
19.
I really liked them till I heard him moaning about having to play creep all the time , and I thought my plumber mate doesn't moan about boilers
Good for your plumber mate. Not every housewife can be a stunna.
 20. A friend of mine struck up a conversation in the ladies' loos of a restaurant, mentioning how the place seemed to be besieged by paparazzi. One of the ladies say yes, it was because of "her", indicating her companion. Only afterwards did she learn that the lady was part of "her" entourage, and "she" was none other than acclaimed singing sensation Kerry Katona. My friend was none the wiser!
 21.
Well I enjoyed Tony Levin as The Chauffeur
Well spotted!
 22.
So you can whip it out, manipulate it and have it ready for action in a few seconds. And when you're done you can quickly fold it up and hide it away before anyone sees what's happening.
Sounds great, apart from the folding-up bit
