  1. I bet it’s up for sale against next week at a higher price. With no sign of damage.
  2. That's a great price. If didn't already have a pair I'd be after this.
  3. I've had a TM5 in the beautiful Roquefort Blue aged. I only sold it because of the weight of it - it was the original shape and was a bit heavy. It was a brilliant sounding bass and very easy to play. If it had been a pound lighter I would have kept it. The California 2 series are a lot lighter than the old ones. I'd happily have another one.
  4. If a person goes into a shop with £500, how on Earth is he expected to browse properly when he can’t even see the options in his budget? Is he supposed to ask for the price of every item? Or ask them to identify all £500 items at once? Bloody stupid.
  5. Price drop to £1250.00. Still including the Mono Vertigo.
  6. Selling my TecAmp Puma 300. It's a 300W bass amp that might actually be the lightest that has ever been on the market - it's only 2.1 lb / 1.15kg It has a 4 band EQ and TecAmp's own TASTE control that turns it from a lean modern hifi tone to a more vintage mid heavy tone It's made in Germany and has an excellent reputation for reliability. It's super quiet in operation (NO FAN!) and gets far louder than it should at 300W. It's almost like TecAmp / Thomas Eich (the designer) have been honest with power outputs! When you go looking for these you will notice that TecAmp do still exist - as a USA company. TecAmp and their chief designer Thomas Eich went their separate ways a few years ago. Thomas Eich set up Eich amplification, and TecAmp moved their production out of Germany to somewhere else. This is a German built one from when Eich was still there. The Eich equivalent is the T-300. Although the Eich is a little heavier as they've since added magnets in the bottom to stick to their new cabs. It's in excellent condition. There's a smidge of crackle in the volume control right at the very bottom - transitioning from Zero volume to letting bass goodness though, but that's it. It's only been used in the Jazz / Swing big band I play with and in the house. I've not seen many come up for sale used - there's only 1 showing on ebay at £385 ish + shipping and doesn't come with the bag. So say about £350 including shipping to the UK or near offer. PRICE DROP TO £300 inc U.K. delivery No trades please, I'm raising money for more toys.
  7. Almost - it's a pair of One10s I'm keeping that lot. I'm thinking of selling my Tecamp Puma 300. It's a great amp, really loud for the claimed output but I just fancy a change to something more aggressive / excessively slappy!
  8. I'm thinking of an amp change - just because GAS! Is anyone using the GK MB500 with a One10? Any thoughts on their compatibility? I've narrowed the try list to the MB500 and a Little Marcus 500 and now I can't decide, and I can't find a shop that has both in stock either!
  9. "The Best of Louis Armstrong Featuring the Duke Ellington Orchestra" is a belter of an album. It's not just about the trumpet - there's loads of goodness on there. Kind of blue Metropolitain - Kyle Eastwood (my favourite of his)
  10. Shouldn't work in sales if you don't like the product? That's very naïve. Many people are in jobs they don't like. Why should sales be any different? I've got a mate who is very good at selling a very particular product - penile implants for injury and cancer sufferers. I bet he's hoping he will never need to find out if he likes the product. Yes Mr Ford Sales could google P100. And then when there is nothing around to inform him of a new model what do you propose he does? Get up at 3am to phone Ford HQ in the USA to demand they tell Mr Shop-Floor all about their plans to divulge it to a customer ahead of an official release? That's more likely to get the salesman fired.
  11. Would you expect a current 20 something Ford salesman to know what a P100 was? Nope. It was discontinued before he was born. It has no relevance to his job, and as said above if Ibby Japan haven’t released any official info yet then why would he know about rumoured new stuff? Basses are a hobby for you - it is how you escape from work. For him it’s a job and at 5pm he probably doesn’t give a stinky poo until 9am again. Instruments are what he escapes from! And I couldn’t blame him.
  12. New York rent is the highest in the world. If Fodera moved to Iowa they could sell them for about a third of current prices and still make the same profits.
  13. Unless you’re in an eighties metal band why a bullet belt?
  14. £249 pre-order at Dawsons https://www.dawsons.co.uk/ibanez-srmd200-mezzo-electric-bass-guitar?prod=208447&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInZuMvJ_U3wIVFp3VCh3IzAmaEAQYASABEgL1N_D_BwE
  15. I like that a lot. I want one.
  16. I use a One10 with a Tecamp Puma 300 in the lounge. Sounds good to me! If you wanted a bit more fun though you could get the One10 and a little power amp and a Helix Stomp and then have lots of bass amp flavours to play with.
  17. I stopped following Larry about 2 years ago when he made the comments - and to be fair because of the reactions of others on his page supporting the no need for a trial approach. I lasted about 10 minutes for Phil Jones' page! Shame really, I like both their products.
  18. I cook outside all the time! But I don't own a bass company.
  19. Wasn't just that. He was going on about death penalty stuff for someone who hadn't even been charged with a crime much less convicted.
  20. He's turned into a bit of a tool on his facebook too.
  21. Selling an Origin Cali76 Compact Bass compressor. One of the finest pedal compressors on earth! Does the "new york" compression thing (blending clean sound) but also has another trick - the HPF control that uses a sidechain to allow more thump to come through for some frequencies while clamping on the others. That control is witchcraft! Lets the low B and E thump through while controlling high string pops. That feature can be turned off with the knob at zero too. Equally good on guitar and bass. Very quiet in operation. Accepts 9 to 18V dc. Very good condition - has velcro on the bottom. Full specs are here: https://origineffects.com/product/cali76-compact-bass/ £200 including signed for delivery in the UK. No trades please, I'm raising money for shiny things!
  22. Ace! Thank you. I love compressors. Wish I could afford to keep all the ones I've owned!
