  1. Varies. But if it’s the first time that particular bass has been in the U.K. it will attract import tax and VAT on the bass value and the shipping cost. roughly 25% on top of the cost of the bass and shipping. Still, there’s a classifieds section on here for selling. Give it a try.
  2. That’s exactly it.
  3. For these. Just counter sunk
  4. Strap lock hole for Dunlop strap systems.
  5. Drag it to your desktop. Then use a PDF Printer to generate a pdf. Done!
  6. Yamaha have done good things with Ampeg, and amazing things with Line 6 so hopefully Korg will do the same.
  7. I suspect this is an attempt at humour. As I'd say to my kids... "Well done you!! Don't give up!.... Now clean your room."
  8. I just bought Harry’s Keeley Compressor Pro. Fast delivery, well packed, pedal in superb condition. All good! thanks!
  9. I'm using a Yamaha DXR10 with a Helix and it's great. Loud, punchy, and can be angled to point at me if I want that. There are a couple used ones for sale on thefretboard forum. Might be worth a look.
  10. dUg has left the building. Price drops on the other 2
  11. Spector has one. Was one in the classifieds recently.
  12. Drive pedals automatically add compression, just depends if it is enough. I play mostly clean-ish these days in a big / swing band. I'm swapping from fingerstyle to plectrum to slap depending on the tune and those have very different dynamics so I always use a compressor just to tame the extra volume on the slapping. When I mix a clean and dirty signal compression is pretty much vital on the clean side - the dirty is already compressed and sustains for longer = so compressing the clean means that the sustain levels can be matched. Otherwise the clean fades long before the drive does. If you like all the dynamics affecting the drive levels then put it at the end of the chain. If you also like it affecting the input stage of your amp, then put it in the FX loop so you are only taming the peaks into the poweramp and not how the preamp reacts. It's all good. Whatever works There are loads of people who don't use them though - although a significant amount of them are still getting compressed - usually by the FOH engineer on the desk.
  13. Gonna Fly now (Rocky) Moon Dance - Van Morrison Don't stop me now - Queen All new ones at rehearsal this morning, all big band arrangements.
  14. Bump and price drop to £300 inc U.K. delivery.
  15. I will have to try a Vigier at some point. I love the look of the Passions. Would have to be a 4 string though - the 5 string nut width appears to be 48mm and that's too big for me.
  16. 1987 school swing band, on sax.
  17. I;ve got stack knobs on my PJ - so each pickup has V+T. To be honest it's a faff. I never balance the pickups - it's either all P, all J or both. So in hindsight a vol and tone and a 3 way selector would have been the easiest for me.
  18. Bump! Feel free to make offers. I won't be offended.
  19. Bump. If I've set the price too high please let me know - don't be worried about making offers, I won't take it personally!
  20. Define high output. To gig without PA support? Or just be your backline letting the PA do the heavy lifting? I get a single Barefaced One10 more than loud enough over a drummer and a 25 piece horn section, and a pair of them over a rock band. How much do you need?
  21. Higgie bought my Origin Cali 76 Compact Bass pedal. Fast payment, all good. Cheers!
  22. Are there any other confirmed specs yet? Like nut width?
  23. I had a Zon Hyperbass once. I loved it. But it was a complete headflip. I ended up playing it like any other fretless.
  24. No, that’s conspiracy theory type thinking. All companies react and plan for risk. They don’t wait for the bad thing to happen, the take steps to minimise damage before it happens because that is safer than waiting to see if it does happen. Firing 10% of the workforce in advance is a better decision that going out of business completely when the thing happens. Its basic risk analysis. But even if Brexit doesn’t happen the jobs that have already been transferred to other countries won’t come back. But companies who simply downsized to cut overheads will be more confident about hiring again. But that confidence will take a long time to come back fully. Rees-Mogg said it would be 50 years to see the benefits of leaving. Not leaving will probably require 5 years or more to fix the damage already done.
