  3. The Tech21 Steve Harris pedal is also a wonderful distortion pedal.
  4. Ah - I misread that as Dummy Load. That makes sense!
  5. Don't delete your original post - this place is a really useful library of questions and answers!
  6. And destroyed!
  7. NURSE!!! He's got on the internet again! triple his meds! STAT!
  8. Coil closest to the neck = front Coil closest to the bridge = back. There are a minority of weirdos who claim the bridge is the front but they should be secured in a treatment centre next to those who put pineapple on pizza.
  9. Aguilars installed and the crap side dots replaced. Big improvement all round.
  10. Ah man, I'd love to try one of these. No funds at the moment though.
  11. I want that so much and I don't even know anything about it yet! Well, they'll put a Delano pickup in it and I'll have to burn that in the garden and replace it with something good, but other than that...
  12. How on earth did you manage to reverse only half the photo? Weird!
  13. Very kind of you - alas I'm in the East Midlands.
  14. I didn't buy it because of it.
  15. The ABM600 fans are not acceptable to me in the slightest! Sometimes I'm playing with a single clarinet and the fan noise is obvious and distracting.
  16. I really must try the RM at some point. Especially as the fans seem to be very quiet compared to the big brother!
  17. If you have to add a dummy load then presumably that dummy load gets the total impedance back to 16ohms even with an 8Ohm cab? Otherwise there would be no need for the dummy load at all.
  18. I'm actually thinking about the guitar version of this. It's a fair bit cheaper and I've got no doubt it will do a fine clean tone. Afterall the early Fender amps that are now so popular for guitar started life as bass amps in many cases. When I practice on headphones it's really for sight reading and jazz band practice stuff so I'm not really fussed about anything other than a bit of compression. The Guitar model does say that the clean tones are suitable for bass or acoustic guitar too. Then I've got something I can also use for guitar. I suspect the other way round won't be nearly as useful.
  19. I'm having some regular dots fitted in a bass at the moment -about £30 for that.
  20. Is Luminlay noticeably better than the cheap version Ibanez are using in their EHB basses? 'Cos that stuff is awful.
  21. Have you asked Orange how much they want to repair it? Do that first.
  22. 1 note at a time while learning to read proper notation. Do the full job, not just half of it.
