Coil closest to the neck = front
Coil closest to the bridge = back.
There are a minority of weirdos who claim the bridge is the front but they should be secured in a treatment centre next to those who put pineapple on pizza.
I want that so much and I don't even know anything about it yet!
Well, they'll put a Delano pickup in it and I'll have to burn that in the garden and replace it with something good, but other than that...
If you have to add a dummy load then presumably that dummy load gets the total impedance back to 16ohms even with an 8Ohm cab?
Otherwise there would be no need for the dummy load at all.
I'm actually thinking about the guitar version of this. It's a fair bit cheaper and I've got no doubt it will do a fine clean tone. Afterall the early Fender amps that are now so popular for guitar started life as bass amps in many cases.
When I practice on headphones it's really for sight reading and jazz band practice stuff so I'm not really fussed about anything other than a bit of compression.
The Guitar model does say that the clean tones are suitable for bass or acoustic guitar too.
Then I've got something I can also use for guitar. I suspect the other way round won't be nearly as useful.
