  1. Doesn't matter. Bodyshape is almost impossible to protect, unlike a headstock.
  2. Or just play it 3 times in a row with an average pub band drummer. That will be 3 different tempos!
  3. Just practice. When I can play a song without needing any notation I like to play it at a faster speed for practice. When I've nailed it 10% faster or so then it becomes easy at normal speed. But to get there I'll often play it way under tempo and only increase speed when it's perfect, and increase speed in small amounts. Youtube can now change playback speed so it's a really good song learning resource. Practice DOES NOT make perfect. It makes permanent! Only Perfect Practice makes Perfect. So slow it down until it's easier and get it right. Don't practice until you get it right - practice until you can't get it wrong.
  4. I just use the passive input for everything.
  5. I had a Zon Hyperbass for a while. I bought it used, but it was still significantly more than that. IIRC they are about 7 grand new. These days I’m very happy with my Sandbergs, but I do have a hankering to get another Marleaux one day. Probably pushing 4K these days for the spec I’d have. But worth it. Amazing workmanship. Now I’m paying for kids at university the chances are very slim!
  6. Mind you - if the thinking happens in the amp head and not the pedal, maybe a non-latching one would work. Could get one on Amazon and return it if it doesn't work.
  7. I saw this on facebook and I completely agree with the suggestion that it should be posted on the proper EBMM forum. Just to see what happens!
  8. Needs the proper one. Quick push turns drive on and off and a long press does the muting.
  9. I bought some by accident once! Check multiple places though - prices vary a lot.
  10. It's their money, they can spend it however they want.
  11. Very nice. It's only a couple of strings that are medium-ish scale. The B and E are extra long! What are pickups like?
  12. You'll get a used pair of Yamaha HS7 for that money. Great monitors.
  13. 1/2 inch ones. I've given a full answer on your private message. Good luck!
  14. If you find an 8ohm then later on you can always add another 8ohm cab. I like a modular set up. 1 cab for small things, 2 cabs for a bigger show. Lower individual weights to carry too.
  15. Withdrawn. I'm just enjoying the stupid noises too much at home!
  16. That's why I'm liking the whites on mine - very similar to rounds when they've been on the bass a month or 2, but zero finger noise.
  17. Me. I was very happy at the time, but now I wouldn’t go back after getting a Super Twin.
  18. I don't think I could fit 2 in my car!
  19. Yeah - sorry I had clicked the Tweeter option, and I'd have a cover.
  20. Almost everything other than Ibanez are wider than 16.5mm. It is Ibanez that is the outlier really.
  21. But then again it's about £900 so maybe not!
