1.
My amp is on top of the cab but I put 2 thick pieces of foam in between so the amp doesn't rattle to pieces. I started doing this when I had all tube amps and just carried on with the SS amps I use now.
Been doing this myself as vibrations from my lightweight 2x12 were suspected of loosening connections in my Markbass head!
2. I can only go on what other BC'ers have posted on other threads. You will get what you pay for though.I owned cheap basses when I started and was always glad when I upgraded(better hardware/pups etc).
3. It looks like a cheap copy of a Bass Collection Speakeasy.IMHO I would get the Speakeasy.
4. My Warwick $$;too heavy and the Just-A-Nut III kept catching my hand.
5. Keep it up!All the best to you.
6. I nod my head to the music in a way that has been described as being not unlike a chicken pecking for corn.Couple that with a 'bass face'it's no wonder that I don't like my photo being taken.
7. And this pointless bit of metal will add how much to the price of a bass?
8. As my bass is kept under the bed,I would question what any of my friends are doing in my bedroom!
9.
Darren, honestly saddened to read this news. Bass Merchant has been heralded by the UK Bass playing community as one of the best, indeed elite of shops for basses, gear and excellent customer service. I'd like to wish you and Chris all the best for the future and hope that we stay in touch. Thank you for your support and giving the Bass community what it really needed!
What he said. Always a pleasure to deal with.
10. Great sound on a great song.
11. I have been labouring under the (false) belief that I was the only BC'er to have heard of Gerry MacAvoy. He's a player who knows how to play for the song.Glad others appreciate his playing.
12. Brothers and sisters,I say unto you,Cytania spake the truth, and it was good.
13.
The one Warwick did for Bonio's mate must be a contender?
The only bass to make me angry.I would want to grab the owner of one of these unspeakable piles of fecal matter and scream at them"Why?Have you really got more money than sense? Please tell me that you are playing this for a dare." I would then wipe my spittle-flecked lips, and twat them one.
14.
Personally I find it a bit incongruous to see older dudes really ‘rocking out’, but whatever floats your boat I guess...
I can no longer put my foot on the monitor, and my zimmer frame vibrates when I play F on the D string. But when I've had a pint of dry sherry I can rock out with the best of them.
15. "What are you doing in the bedroom?" "I'm,er,polishing my Warwick" Euphamism time!
16. Gerry McAvoy-played bass for Rory Gallagher. Nick Seymour-Crowded House. Danny Thompson-Richard Thompsons DB player of choice. Taras Prodaniuk- RT's electric player(currently)
17. Oooo, new shiney thing! Looks good.
18. Lil Band O Gold.Awesome Swamp-Pop from Louisiana.
19. Black one for me.Apparantly black makes you look slimmer.......
20. Status Groove with flats through a Markbass LMII into a Zoot 2x12, Bass +2,Low Mid -3,High Mid -5,Treble 0.All fiters off,EQ on bass is flat treble,+3 bass. Gets through 2 guitars and a keyboard well, but has plenty of oomph!
21. Act like nothings happened, because NO BUGGER will be listening to a bass player

Wasps
Wasps are actually one of the most important of all insects. They feed other insects to their larvae. In order for a nest to reach full size (about the same vol as a basketball) they will take about 4-6 tons of flies, mosquito's, flying ants and pretty much any other hard shelled insect including small cockroaches. If you imagine that a ton of insects will fill about 12 of the big ton sacks they use for gravel and sand and that there's up to 1000 nests per square mile in the uk it becomes clear that without them we'd be up to our gregories in bugs. They are bastards tho......
You sir,are an apologist for the insect worlds own SS.
